Traveling Light
I am and have always been a true Nikon fan. I do a lot of travel photography. Due to the numerous restrictions in traveling these days and what you can and cannot carry this lens makes perfect sense. I can accomplish everything that’s necessary all in one shot. Pardon the pun. Now when I travel, I don’t have to worry about the weight or having to switch lenses from time to time ,this lens does it all.

Best all-around lens for Z Cameras
I do a lot of traveling and this is the perfect lens for just about any kind of photography you do. I am a retired photojournalist and this is a lens I can carry and use all day. I have a couple of fast prime lenses to supplement in low light situations, but my Z7 works great in low light, so I am able to use this lens for anything I want to shoot. I have a set of 3rd party extension tubes which are inexpensive and allow me to shoot closer than the lens normally focuses. I would recommend this lens to everyone.

Sharp and handy
A very nice lens, sharp and handy. It would be nice if it were a little faster, but then it would be a lot heavier and more $$$. But this lens is worth every penny.

Very nice lens for travel and general use
I bought this primarily for travel as it has a good range and is not too large; with my previous DSLR I had the AF-S NIKKOR 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR. That lens was slightly faster with greater range, but this one does the job. Got some great photos on a recent trip to Mexico. Beyond travel it is useful for a variety of subjects.

A lens that lives up to its reputation.
The sterling reputation of this lens is much deserved. It is simply one of the best lenses ever made for landscapes, astrophotography, artistic closeups and architectural use. Its clarity and color rendition are amazing.

Forget the camera bag and just take this lens.
This is an excellent travel lens or just when you don't want to carry more than one lens. I tested this lens with my other lens and while there are differences it is hardly noticeable for most pictures. My last trip I only took this and one other lens but it performed so well I never used the other one. It is also great to use when you don't want to switch lens like at the beach.

The All-Day-Every-Day Lens (but only during the day)
This is the perfect all day carry lens. I don't waste space in my bag with another lens if I am going out while the Sun is out. The lens is wide enough to take wide landscapes and zoom well enough to focus on insects on plants. The focus distance is not enough to be considered macro, by any means, but 200mm is a lot of zooming in to begin with. Any time after sunset, this lens no longer serves a purpose, unless you want to bump your ISO up. I do not know how well it focuses in Low-light, but I can say, during the daytime, it is absolutely fantastic.

A Great "Walking Around" Lens.
When I don't want to burden myself with an extensive kit, but still want to make high quality images I reach for this lens. It covers a wide gamut of situations -- wide angle to medium telephoto -- in one lens. None of that would matter if it wasn't a good lens and this one produces wonderful images. Highly recommended.
