The All-Day-Every-Day Lens (but only during the day)
Posted by Benjamin Zamora on May 18, 2021
This is the perfect all day carry lens. I don't waste space in my bag with another lens if I am going out while the Sun is out. The lens is wide enough to take wide landscapes and zoom well enough to focus on insects on plants. The focus distance is not enough to be considered macro, by any means, but 200mm is a lot of zooming in to begin with. Any time after sunset, this lens no longer serves a purpose, unless you want to bump your ISO up. I do not know how well it focuses in Low-light, but I can say, during the daytime, it is absolutely fantastic.

A Great "Walking Around" Lens.
Posted by Brian the kiltman Brian the kiltman on May 18, 2021
When I don't want to burden myself with an extensive kit, but still want to make high quality images I reach for this lens. It covers a wide gamut of situations -- wide angle to medium telephoto -- in one lens. None of that would matter if it wasn't a good lens and this one produces wonderful images. Highly recommended.

I am completely pleased with this lens. It is perfect for travel and for event shooting. The images are beautiful. It is a comparatively light lens. Good price.

Nikon's Mirrorless Do-Everything Lens
Posted by Richard Tavan on May 18, 2021
This is an ideal "do-everything" lens for walk-around or travel when I don't want to take a big bag full of gear. It's sharp, well balanced, and easy to use. Comparing my Z6 with this 24-200 to a micro-four-thirds Olympus E-M1 with the equivalent 12-100 lens is revealing: The two kits are almost exactly the same size and provide the same field-of-view range, yet the Nikon has a full frame sensor! In theory it's a bit slower, but for daylight photography that's rarely an issue. I have a handful of other Z and adapted F lenses, but this is the one I use most often.

Nikkor Z 24-200
Posted by RICHARD HANSEN on May 18, 2021
This is a very nice lens. It is easy to use and fairly light. I have had no trouble with movement. Photos are crisp. The price point is very reasonable. There really isn't anything I don't like about it.

Z 24~200 lens
Posted by Roger Salls on May 18, 2021
I have had this lens for a while and I am generally pleased with its performance to the extent that I leave it on my Z7 all the time. I also have the Z 24~70 f 4 S lens and the Z 14~30 f4 S lens. I also own several Nikkor DSLR lenses..

The only Z lens I own.
Posted by Tom Musch on May 18, 2021
Currently the only Z lens I own. Traded in the Z 24 to 70 F4 to get the range for most all images. In the studio I set the lens for F6.3 and I am good to go at all focal lengths.

Mt favorite lens!
Posted by Diane Davies on May 18, 2021
This is my go to lens and it rarely leaves my camera. It's versatile and suits my needs as a photographer who documents my daily life in the area where I live. I do primarily Landscape photography, and any birds or wildlife that may be in close enough range for the 200mm, mostly songbirds. Waiting for the release of the Z 100-400mm, or the 400mm prime so I can do more wildlife. This is a terrific all purpose lens that covers a lot of bases.
