Purchased with the 24-70mm lens, it’s a fun camera to use even with its quirks. Takes good photos, focus has improved but eye detection isn’t sticky at times. Having a micro sd card with USB 1 rating is kind of redundant with full size SD USB II card. Getting cards out with grip on can also be a treat. All in all not a bad camera.

Bought with the 40mm F/2.0 SE and also ordered the 24-70mm F/4.0 S lens to go with it. Love the design, accessibility (once set in the menus) and various options to prioritize how I like to shoot. While it took me a bit to adapt from my “normal” D810 use, am SO happy I went this route. With lenses, this is more compact that my D810 with a nifty-50 and 24-120mm package making it ideal for my use in travel - also allowing me to keep the full option and functionality of my old D810 with it’s various F-mount lenses. Having vacillated between the Z f and Z fc, I believe I made the right choice going for the full frame allowing a greater option in lenses down the road if I decide to go that route. It took me some getting used to but I think that was a result of jumping some generates, going Mirrorless and just learning something new. Overall this is a great option with better manual controls than the reviews let on.I’m happy to have this added to my Nikon kit and look forward to seeing what great memories we can capture together!

I've had this camera since december of last year and I can say that this is the most enjoyable camera that I have ever shot with. I've tried the xt-5 and it just doesn't have the same feel as the zf, the dials on the xt5 feel cheap and plastic-like and just a less enjoyable experience. The menus make sense, I don't feel as though I would need a joystick as I came from a dslr that also did not have a joystick, the iso controls are fine on the zf along with the shutter dial and the aperture control dial works well, I have the command button set to double exposure and working with it feels comfortable and natural. The video quality is great, using it for mainly car photography, although I wish the video shooting menu displayed more information and gave me an exposure meter like sony rather than the histogram / vectorscope. The picture quality is also insane, super sharp with the 24-70 f4/s. The weather sealing feels really good, haven't taken it out in super harsh weather yet. This is my daily camera and it definitely gets bumped around and scratched while still looking amazing. It has survived one fall off of my probably 3 foot desk onto carpet without losing any functionality. The screen is better than the xt5 as well as the a6700, the evf is better than the a6700 and the xt5, the shutter sound is AMAZING, couldn't move to any other camera simply for that, overall an amazing looking and feeling lens, if I had to buy another camera it would be this.

This is an unparalleled retro model. I am using it almost daily basis and loving it... no complain. I also received a grip. I am loving it. The quality of the pic are so sharp.

Nikon had me at blue. Only wish the 3rd party grip extension was blue also. Autofocus is exceptional my go to camera for street and travel photography big improvements over the Z6

Coming from the Z6, the Zf is very different and takes some getting used to. There are many more options and features that don't exist on the Z6, and I'm still learning how to use them, but that's exactly why I bought this camera. I love how substantial the camera is, and the retro styling really resonates with me, having started with a Nikkormat in the early 70s. I love the new focusing options, the articulated screen, the pixel shift feature, and the ability to shift focus on the back screen while looking through the viewfinder. It's brilliant in low light, fast an responsive in all situations, and a delight to use. It's perfect for me.

This camera is so fun to shoot with. Love the retro style, the control knobs, all of it. Build quality is fantastic. On top of all of that, this camera is a powerhouse. It is not short on specs. Autofocus with the new processor is impressive. Highly recommend.

I have been using Ai-S lenses with the Zf and love the images I get out of it. The photos with film simulations look amazing, too. Photography has been the main use of the camera. However, I started using the video features and have been really enjoying the ability to shoot N-Log. The feel of the camera and look is exactly what I've been wanting with a full-frame camera.
