Z f

I've had this camera since december of last year and I can say that this is the most enjoyable camera that I have ever shot with. I've tried the xt-5 and it just doesn't have the same feel as the zf, the dials on the xt5 feel cheap and plastic-like and just a less enjoyable experience. The menus make sense, I don't feel as though I would need a joystick as I came from a dslr that also did not have a joystick, the iso controls are fine on the zf along with the shutter dial and the aperture control dial works well, I have the command button set to double exposure and working with it feels comfortable and natural. The video quality is great, using it for mainly car photography, although I wish the video shooting menu displayed more information and gave me an exposure meter like sony rather than the histogram / vectorscope. The picture quality is also insane, super sharp with the 24-70 f4/s. The weather sealing feels really good, haven't taken it out in super harsh weather yet. This is my daily camera and it definitely gets bumped around and scratched while still looking amazing. It has survived one fall off of my probably 3 foot desk onto carpet without losing any functionality. The screen is better than the xt5 as well as the a6700, the evf is better than the a6700 and the xt5, the shutter sound is AMAZING, couldn't move to any other camera simply for that, overall an amazing looking and feeling lens, if I had to buy another camera it would be this.

This is an unparalleled retro model. I am using it almost daily basis and loving it... no complain. I also received a grip. I am loving it. The quality of the pic are so sharp.

Nikon had me at blue. Only wish the 3rd party grip extension was blue also. Autofocus is exceptional my go to camera for street and travel photography big improvements over the Z6

I grew up using a film camera. Always loved Nikon and now i have a Zf. I love it. So easy use.Quality camera,well built.I am very very happy. Great and speedy service From Nikon. Love it

Coming from the Z6, the Zf is very different and takes some getting used to. There are many more options and features that don't exist on the Z6, and I'm still learning how to use them, but that's exactly why I bought this camera. I love how substantial the camera is, and the retro styling really resonates with me, having started with a Nikkormat in the early 70s. I love the new focusing options, the articulated screen, the pixel shift feature, and the ability to shift focus on the back screen while looking through the viewfinder. It's brilliant in low light, fast an responsive in all situations, and a delight to use. It's perfect for me.

This camera is so fun to shoot with. Love the retro style, the control knobs, all of it. Build quality is fantastic. On top of all of that, this camera is a powerhouse. It is not short on specs. Autofocus with the new processor is impressive. Highly recommend.

I have been using Ai-S lenses with the Zf and love the images I get out of it. The photos with film simulations look amazing, too. Photography has been the main use of the camera. However, I started using the video features and have been really enjoying the ability to shoot N-Log. The feel of the camera and look is exactly what I've been wanting with a full-frame camera.

This is my first mirrorless camera after a, what I think, was a lot of research. I love this camera a lot. I've had it for a little under 3 weeks now and its been a blast to take photos with. I'm still learning how to use all of the features, but its a big upgrade from my Canon Rebel. I decided on this camera out of other Nikons because of the large ISO range and no built-in flash. Its a bonus that it's aesthetically pleasing to look at. I plan on using this for family photos during the holidays, indoors with dim lighting. I don't want a flash to go off an scare anyone. The only negative I really have is that its not the most comfortable to use without a grip. You should be shooting with 2-hands with this camera because its pretty heavy. Its comfortable to use in my hands when I compare it to other camera I briefly tested. The manual controls are something I prefer since I've been shooting with it.

I had purchased A Z5 a few years ago and while the photos were very good, I missed the simplicity of my old trusty FE that I bought back in 1982. I was intrigued by the Zf and its similarities to the FE, So I traded in the Z5 for the Zf a month ago and I have been very happy with it so far. I have yet to go through all of the settings but one of the strong points of this camera is that you can you can take good photos with it just with using the buttons and dials on top of the camera body. I can only imagine how much better my photos will be once I have set up the Zf to my preferences. The only reason I didn't give it a possible 5 stars is that I haven't yet fully explored what this camera can do.
