    Multi Exposure

Posted by Wendy Jamison on May 11, 2021

From my D750 to Z6II, WOW! I just started playing with the multi exposure...HUGE up-grade. I am able to shoot longer and carry a smaller bag too.

    New to mirrorless Z6ii

Posted by Robert Hennessey on May 11, 2021

I upgraded to the Z6ii from the D750. I am into this new Z6ii for two weeks know. I crammed in some vids to learn the focus, you have many great choices as to focus now. The camera is amazing so far, I even went out to shoot the Milky Way with it my second time using it. Also did a sunrise, a sunset and my grandkids bday party I all in just a few days. The colors straight out of camera shooting raw, are amazing, I would say post processing time is greatly reduced because of this. I don’t own any s lenses as of yet so I’m using the adapter with my FX lenses with absolutely no issues. I think Nikon has a hit on its hands with the Z7ii and Z6ii. I’m looking forward to many happy times with my new Z6ii, thank you Nikon..winning!

    Review

Posted by Lou Marinacci on May 11, 2021

This camera has been a great addition! I have not had any problems shooting night high school lacrosse games in a poorly stadium and getting sharp, clear pictures. Using a 400mm f2.8, D, ED (non VR) lens. Focus is fast and accurate. Read all of the nay sayers reviews-none of their criticisms have been accurate. FTZ adapter has saved me a lot of money, works with all of my Nikon AF-S lensses!

    It's Really Good

Posted by Gohead Gohead on May 11, 2021

This is an amazing camera. I utilize the recording feature often as it produces amazing video quality. I have an Atomos Ninja V that I use with the camera. I wish the upgrade to the pro res raw came installed and not as an add on seeing how much we paid for the camera. Of all of the amazing features that probably sticks out the most for people looking to really reach the full potential of this amazing camera.

    Beat even my high expectations.

Posted by Elliott Glick on May 11, 2021

I started with the initial Z6 to be a backup to my D5 as I mostly shoot in low light high school action sports and theater performances which is not only low light but big mixes of color temps. Upgraded to the Z6 II and to state it simply, my D5 is now the backup to the Z6 II. Frankly, however, it has been a bit of learning curve that I'm still working on as I learn all the various auto focus features not available on the D5 and other built in features. I still lean heavily on my D850 for theater program headshots, portraits and studio/green screen work. If I didn't have the D850, I wouldn't hesitate to also pick up the Z7 II where the high resolution works best. No question that mirrorless is the future.

    It makes photography fun again!

Posted by Kent Safford on May 11, 2021

I upgraded from a D600 with the 28-300. What a difference! Even with the 24-200/4-6.3 my Z 6ii is a featherweight by comparison. I do a lot of hiking and walk-around shooting. The dynamic range is outstanding for bringing out detail in magic hour shots of neighborhood flowers and foliage. I had some challenge with small birds in fighting/flight mode and I'm not sure the eye detection is able to keep up with the speed of the birds movements. However I'm still in my learning curve and experimental phase as I've only had the camera for three weeks. I have yet to do portraits and my most fun is capturing interesting subjects via urban shoots. It feels great in my hands and the button arrangements are ergonomic. I was skeptical about using the LCD monitor but after I got used to it, I probably use it for 30-40% of my compositions. I'm looking forward to the availability of more Z lenses.

    Most well rounded mirrorless camera

Posted by ED NUEVA on February 24, 2021

The Nikon Z6II mirrorless camera is the most well rounded camera I have ever used. It's just perfect for all types of photography and I think the 24mp resolution is the sweet spot as far as I'm concerned. This is my go to camera for wildlife, aircraft, candid, and street photography. The quick AF lets me capture moments right in time thanks to the dual processor. So far I never had any issues with "AF hunting" either using the native lens or the FTZ with my existing F-mounts. The body is light and compact that I could virtually carry more lens in my backpack with this body. Also I've always been a fan of Nikon's color science. I love the out-of-camera Jpeg and also the RAW. I also love the added color profiles besides the norm; I use somber color profile for some of my wildlife photos. I'm also glad that Nikon has been putting out firmware updates to further improve its functions which makes this camera more compelling. If I have one camera to bring with me always, it would be the Z6II.
