Nikon Z6ii plus Nikon Z lens are a significant improvement over my Nikon D750
Posted by Francis T. Sobol on May 11, 2021
I have the Nikon Z6 and now the Nikon Z6ii. The Z6ii has all the good qualities of the original Z6 but improves the AF functions significantly in my view. The camera is lighter than my Nikon 750 and produces better photos in terms of color, sharpness and focus, tho that may also be a function of the superb new Nikon lens designed for the Z cameras. In addition, Nikon is more active in provide firm wear updates for the Z cameras which improve is operations.

Review
Posted by Don McCoy on May 11, 2021
I love this camera. I have D750 that I also love, these two make a great pair. I chose the Z6ii to use when I travel but I find I'm always using this camera.

Great all around camera.
Posted by J DALE BREEDLOVE on May 11, 2021
Love it. So easy to use, and spend the day carrying around. I keep the 24-70mm 2.8 on it all the time. This is my 2nd Z6, I had the original Z6, and upgraded to the Z6ii.

I like the Z7II better
Posted by Daniel Poiree on May 11, 2021
Coming from the D810 I was not happy with the resolution of the Z6II. I traded it for the Z7II which I like very much! I did like the small file sizes on the Z6II, but I’m willing to put up with the larger file size of the Z7II for the much nicer results.

Hot Pixel on Sensor
Posted by Malcolm McMillen on May 11, 2021
Has a hot pixel after only 100 photos. Will have to send it in for repair. My first Nikon that has ever had this problem. This is my first Nikon mirrorless. Have owned a lot of Nikon DSLR's.

Best Nikon Camera
Posted by Benito Chan on May 11, 2021
The eye AF on the Nikon Z6 II is better than my D750. It was worth the upgrade. Smaller frame and lens. Good travel camera. Ultra sharp images. No regrets.

Proud NewZ6ll Owner!
Posted by ROBERT ROBY on May 11, 2021
Let me start by saying I made the right choice! I love my new Z6lll! I was on the fence about switching to mirror less until I continued to read nothing but positive reviews. I almost feel like I’m cheating now when I’m using this amazing camera. Now it’s time to build my native lens collection. I have the 24-70 f4 and love it. Now it’s time to go for a fast prime. If you’re thinking about this camera, go for it! You won’t have any regrets. I don’t. Happy shooting.

Z6 II Upgrade Works Well for Us.
Posted by Dave Tosti-Lane on May 11, 2021
The changes from the original Z6 are all in the right direction. Particularly appreciate the dual card slots, and the greatly improved focus. I'm very taken with the Z series lenses, waiting impatiently for more to be released. As with the original Z6, I'm impressed with the low noise in low light shooting. I agonized between picking a Z7 and a Z6 (coming from a D810) but am quite happy with the images and resolution on the Z6 II, and the smaller size files is an advantage for travel shooting, and I definitely appreciate the lower weight over the old DSLR experience.

Great camera, but wish RAW Video was pre-installed.
Posted by Jim Nevill on May 11, 2021
I bought this camera primarily for it's low light video capabilities and upgraded autofocus. Impressed on both fronts. I do mostly architecture, real estate work and video productions so for me it's quite functional, small and light. Works well on a handheld gimbal and I love the new 14-24mm Z mount lens especially. I miss having the focus selector switch on the bottom left of body. I also think this camera should be available for purchase with Blackmagic RAW or ProRES RAW video format capabilities as standard, or for sale with the additional $200 price point out of the box - without having to deal with the mail in upgrade. Fx 60p 4K would also be nice but I guess that is the carrot dangled in front of the z7ii.
