I love this camera. It focuses on lowlight conditions very well. It's focus is fast and responsive. Video quality and stabilization is great. I can go on and on but it's overall a great camera.

    Great Hybrid Cameras!!

Posted by Bruce Monforton on March 18, 2023

Love Nikon Z Cameras. I own both the Z6ii and the Z7. Both are great cameras for everything except BIF. I’m a hybrid shooter. The Z7 is my go to for photography and a B cam for video. The z6ii is my main Video cam, both work great.

Feature packed, Awesome Low Light Performer

Posted by William Federe on March 18, 2023

I’m really enjoying this camera. I’m now back into digital photography since my D300 days. After considerable research and watching YouTube reviews I took the plunge, and happy I did. I was delighted to see how well it works in low light and nightscape scenes. Didn’t need the high megapixel version Z7ii, and with the 1k price difference, this is a great deal. Bought some great lenses to go with it and future generation Z bodies to come.

    A great camera from Nikon

Posted by Jonathan Bolton on March 18, 2023

As one who bypassed the entire DSLR generation (I had a Nikon F2 before) all I can say is that I made the right choice. As an enthusiastic amateur photographer the image quality of the Z6 ii with Z series lenses (both the S and non-S variety) is simply astounding. I will admit that, as a former film photographer, a digital camera takes some getting used to. However, the learning curve with the Z6 ii has not been too steep. Being mirrorless makes it very quiet. I've not used silent mode yet but it is much quieter than my F2. I chose the 24-200 zoom as my first lens and then added the 85 mm f/1.8 and the 14-30 zoom. The 24-200 is not an S series lens while the other two are. I can't see a difference. They are all razor sharp.Learning to deal with color in the digital world does take some time. I had my own darkroom and did dabble with color printing. The control I have now is an order of magnitude greater than I had before.Yes, I'm very happy with my Z6 ii and am looking forward to many years of enjoying it.

    Nikon Z6ii

Posted by Ian Poole on March 15, 2023

I purchased a Z6ii as a back up for my D5. We all have criteria for what is a good camera,
My first is that I spend a min' of time on the computer, I shoot in Raw and only intend to adjust/select picture control. excellent performance in this respect
My second criteria is that the camera must be easy to use. Not easy to make adjustments and tweaks, but not need to do this, Again the performance is excellent..
My third criteria is that the camera be comfortable to use, in this the Z6ii is a total failure, it is too small and too light for me to find it comfortable to hold I was not inclined to invest $600 in a battery grip to make the camera body bigger.
I was tempted to return it, and then I discovered LIVE HISTOGRAM, so I kept the camera body and purchase a battery grip. The battery grip does make the camera comfortable to use, but you shouldn't have to spend an extra $600 to achieve this.
