Very well put together such that the overall camera and lens have a lighter and overall smaller footprint.
Just returned from an overseas trip where it was rainy and hot. The camera along with the lens operated quite successfully in this environment.

All Around Travel Lens
Purchased along with the Z 6 fortrvel use and now use it for almost everything (except for long-range reach where I ow use the d7500/AF-P 70-450). I just returned from a cruise from Beren, Norway to Amsterdam. I´m including a couple of photos: One of the city of Bergen from atop Mt.Floyen (1,000´ up), the other a night-time shot of the Oslo Opera House taken from the cruise ship. Since the Z 6 firmware 2.0 has been released, BIF are more doable. Great job, Nikon!

Versatile, light weight lens
The 24-70mm range is most useful for travel or simply daily use. This lens is so light on my Z7 I can carry this combination around all day without a problem. I´ve shot test charts with it and was very impressed with its sharp performance.

Awesome
The 24-70 f4 Z is compact and a wonderful lens on the Z7. It´s light weight combined with the mirrorless camera and therefore makes for an awesome walkabout setup.

Much more than a kit lens.
I bought this lens as a part of the z6 kit, assuming I would choose to keep it as a spare and use my f mount lenses most often. My experience has been just the opposite. I have found this lens to be sharp, snappy, quick and quiet, and extremely versatile. I also really like the solid feel of the camera and lens combination. Nothing but impressed!

Ideal Travel Lens
I tested the Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/4 S lens in France when it first came out in September of 2018. As a go to travel lens, it is superb. You can easily see the enhanced difference in every frame due to Nikon´s new optical design for the Z system. The size and weight of the lens are economical, as is the Nikon Z7 camera body. I have included exposure data for each of the six photos below.

Wonderful piece of engineering. Lightweight. Excellent optics; in actual practice and as reviewed by experts as meeting this claim. Smooth motion during zoom and manual focus. Almost perfect travel lens (subjectively, could have gone a little more in both directions and would have been utterly perfect). If this glass is any indication of what´s to come, that´s very exciting. Very happy that I moved to the Z series.

Perfect travel lens
I bought a Z6 and this 24-70mm f/4 lens after being away from photography for 50 years, and am I ever pleased. Used the lens on a 4-week South American cruise and captured photos our friends say are among the best they have ever seen. Thank you Nikon for the Z6 and this incredibly flexible lens.

Pretty impressive for a kit lens. Small, light, but it´s image quality really good. Don´t like non changeable lens profiles
