    Exceptional lens

This lens is sharp. lightweight, and small. The lens has become a favorite that lives on my Z 7 most of the time. Would I recommend it? I already have.

    Great lens

Posted by DrSteven on July 1, 2019

There is no doubt that this is a great lens. Despite that, I do have a hesitation--more about the fact that there is now another lens--faster and more expensive--but for exactly the same focal range. Having two versions of the same range makes no sense to me, but having the faster version does. The fallout then is that if I purchase the faster version, I need to sell this lens and at a loss. So, yes it is a great lens, but Nikon could have been more thoughtful about putting out these two lenses without a way to help early adapters of the Z family

    Well done....

I´ve never been a big fan of mirrorless cameras but the Nikon Z6 has changed that! And the 24-70 zoom made the camera an even bigger hit! The 24-70 is a crisp lens giving you nice clean neutral images. It´s become one of my favorite lens.

    Great with one reservation.

I wish it were 24-120 like the f/4.0 F mount lens.

I use it all the time

Posted by Charleton on July 1, 2019

I have the Nikon Z7 mirrorless camera 24-70mm F4 combo. I use it at weddings all the time. It´s my go to lens when I need a shot quickly. I mostly use prime lenses, but this lens with the Z7 is very light and works well for most of my needs. I bring it on hikes with couples, to weddings, and adventure shoots. Yes, it´s an F4 lens, which means low light will challenge it. However, I shoot a lot of daytime photos anyway. If I need more stops of light, it can still work, but I also have other Nikon lenses (like the 35 and 50 and 85) with my Nikon 850.

Overall, I love the 24-70 f4 lens and use it.
I would encourage you to get the 50 1.8 lens. I´m loving it.

Crystal clear wide angle pictures with no fisheye. Really nice lens for my Z7.

    Exceeds my Expectations

Posted by SpringfieldVA on July 1, 2019

I love this lens. Consistently crisp and sharp photos with great color. I got this lens as a part of the kit with the Z6 which I bought the Monday after Thanksgiving 2018. I got the kit because it was easier to get than the body only (at that time). I really didn´t expect much of the lens and did not use it on my first two official photo shoots with the Z6. A friend asked what I thought of the lens, since he knew I loved the Z6. So I took this lens with the Z6 on a special test photo shoot at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum by Dulles Airport. The lens and photos blew me away. I test gear at that museum frequently at it has a great variety of available lighting situations and mimics my official work shooting assignments. I now use the lens regularly on both the Z6 and Z7 and am always thrilled with the results. I do love this lens and the Nikon Z bodies.

Great replacement for my Nikkor AF-S 24-70 f/2.8

Posted by DannyBoy on July 1, 2019

I sold almost all of my F-mount bodies and lenses. My AF-S 24-70 f/2.8 was almost always mounted on my D810. I love my Z 7 and Z 6 bodies, and the 24-70 f/4 Z mount lens is amazing. The images are sharp all the way to the corners, and with the great high ISO performance and in-body image stabilization, I don´t miss the extra stop of the 2.8. And, the Z mount lens is so much lighter and more compact. I think Nikon has hit a home run with the Z system bodies and lenses.

    More than expected

I added the 14 to my kit because I didnt think this was going to be wide enough and clear at the edges for some real estate shots, but was extremely pleased at how well it did at 24 wide open. Where the 14 has its place, this turned out to be a great goto every day lens in my kit.
