    Happy owner

Many great features. Silent, which is great for wildlife photography. Hi FPS, but I cannot find how to set 20 FPS. Pre-capture, but would be better using RAW. Easy to switch settings with the quick menu. Articulating screen. I would give it five stars, but I would like a higher MP like the Z8. Also, why didn't it come with a manual? I struggle figuring out some things without the manual.

    A very impressive camera

Posted by Lawrence O. on April 20, 2025

While it’s only been a few weeks since I started using my Z6 III, I’ve found its feature set, responsiveness, file quality and ergonomics to be very impressive. The brilliant viewfinder, custom-settings flexibility and S-line lenses are exceptionally noteworthy. (I started with the 14-120 f4.0 and 14-30 f4.0 for their optical quality, compact size and versatility.) I’ve been using M43 mirrorless cameras (mostly Olympus) for about 15 years and have been very pleased with them. However high-ISO, lowlight performance suffered because of the small sensor size. The Z6 III’s 35mm-size sensor fills this gap for me, allowing me to shoot under demanding lighting conditions. The Nikon and Olympus (OM-1) menus and controls are similar, so it hasn’t been a big leap switching from one to the other. (And there’s no rule that you can’t shoot with two systems!) Hopefully, this camera will prove to be as reliable and durable as the Nikons I owned in the film era.

    I love my Z6III's

Posted by Robert C. on April 16, 2025

Moving from my trusty D500 felt a bit unsettling at first, like saying goodbye to an old friend. However, my anxieties completely vanished the moment I started using the Nikon Z6III. This camera is truly fantastic – incredibly responsive and quick in action. I'm thoroughly impressed with all the advanced technology packed into it. It's almost nostalgic to recall the excitement when I first got my D500, a state-of-the-art camera boasting 11 frames per second. Now, the Z6III's continuous high-speed extended shooting with the electronic shutter reaches an astonishing 20 frames per second. This capability is absolutely brilliant for capturing those fleeting moments of birds in flight with incredible clarity and detail. The Z6III has not only met but exceeded my expectations, proving to be a worthy successor.

    Great Camera for the $$$

Posted by WINNIE C. on April 14, 2025

So far so good. I still have a lot to learn on this camera but it's really similar to the Z6 that I had. I'm impressed with the focusing ability, but I wish you hadn't messed with the menu. Functions like the multiple exposure mode were really difficult to find. Also, the playback works intermittently. I'm about to upgrade the firmware so maybe that bug will be fixed. I haven't had the amount of time I'd like to explore the camera more since I got it, but that will happen. In the meantime, it's gotten me some good shots with owls and birds and still objects.

    Brilliant camera so far!

Posted by Grumpy Goat on April 13, 2025

Upgraded from a D5600 since I wanted better autofocus and more video performance. The Z6III has delivered both and much more! Of course, I expected a lot more given the design intent of the D5600 vs the Z6III, and I was not at all disappointed. That said, it is still way too early for me to do a proper review of this camera (only had it 3 weeks now) and there is so much to learn. I can say that it is hugely configurable and should suit everyone's tastes regarding setup. The picture quality is excellent, and I have not even shot it in low light yet. Noise levels in the shadows is superb (low). This camera is fast too. Very pleased so far. I held off on the 5th star because the default autofocus is not quite as fast as my Sony RX100 MK 7 (which is my personal autofocus standard), but I am encouraged that there are at least 2 parameters that can be set and which can affect this. Stay tuned!!

    Great fit for experienced photographers

Posted by richard andrews on April 6, 2025

Very happy with image quality and focusing speed. Just about the right size to be combined with longer lenses. Really nice monitor in viewfinder. I have owned the D850, D500 and Z50.

    New Z6 III

Faster than my Z6 II, photos are crazy sharp, and I love the colors out of the camera. Money well spent.

    Not happy with CFexpress Card

Not happy with this CFexpress card. Would have preferred Two SD card slots. As far as camera performance, working in low light works great. Eye and face detection functions well.
