Glad I traded up from a Z50 to Z6iii. Wanted a full frame camera and this one performs great!

Fantastic Camera But Lacks Folder Naming IMO

Posted by Chief Chief on February 26, 2025

I upgraded from the Z6ii and love the new Z6iii. There are so many options, it should satisfy near anyone. There is one criticism I have about the folders. I miss my old D70 in that respect. I could name folders with the first 5 letters of a location or whatever Ali want. I’d like to be able to rename folders instead of just a number. Otherwise, a fantastic camera.

    Wonderful

Posted by Glenn Cummings on February 26, 2025

I began my photographic journey back in the late 70's with a Nikon FE, which I still have. I explored different manufacturers such as Canon and Fujifilm as I ventured into digital as well as a Nikon D300.Once I decided to go mirrorless, I knew I wanted to stay with what I grew up with...Nikon. My biggest decision was to go with either the Z8 or Z6lll. Not really needing 45 megapixels, I went with the Z6lll.I absolutely love everything about this body with one exception...the flippy screen. Hopefully, I will get accustomed to this in time, however currently I wish they stuck with the screen utilized on the Z6ll.All in all, this body is a beast and 24 megapixels is more than enough for 90% of us.Great job Nikon!

    MY LITTLE BEAST

Posted by Demi Pita on February 26, 2025

I call it: my LITTLE BEAST! Love this piece of gear and art! Yes is art because deliver to me art 24 hours: from the first light of the morning to the next light of the morning. I use it for everything i love regarding photography: landscape, nightscapes and portraits. I purchased for backup for my z9 , but now both are always on my backpack everyday . Thank you so much NIKON!

    Great camera!

I now have both the z6II and z6III and love them both. I like to shoot with 2 bodies so will likely upgrade my z6II to another z6III.

    The Z6III a Huge Improvement!

Posted by Gene D. on February 25, 2025

The Z6III IS A HUGE IMPROVEMENT over the Z6 I bought back in 2019. I sold the Z6 and bought a Z9, which is a fabulous camera. The Z 6III will serve as a great second camera body. Love the improved AF system, and the evf.

Great backup for my Z8 and for street photography

Posted by Robert G. on February 25, 2025

I have completed my testing and this is a great camera and works almost as good as my Z8. I do miss the sensor shield, but you can't have everything. Focus peaking and setting up one of the buttons to allow 100% EVF view makes manual focusing a breeze.

What Else could you want? Speed, Focus, Sharpness, Quality , all that you can dream of!

Posted by Slicer on February 25, 2025

I am very happy with my Z6iii, the only improvement that I need to work on is better use of the 3D tracking with birds. It does very well with sitting birds but birds in flight can be harder to capture unless you can pan with them. The camera is wonderful for most all subjects , at near 70 years old it has taken more time to get my settings where I need them but there is always room for improvement on my skills. I will attach some files of my favorites so far.
