Z50II

I bought this camera to replace a Nikon D3300 that I bought in 2016. I am very happy with every aspect of this camera. The quality of the pictures are as good or better than what I was getting with the D3300. Even though it is 20.6 megapixels instead of 24, I haven't been able to see much difference in picture information, thought the files are slightly smaller. The autofocus improvements alone are worth the price of the camera. This improves on the number of shots that are in focus. I am satisfied with the two kit lenses that came with the camera. Although I mostly use a Nikon 200-500 f5.6 zoom lens for my bird and wildlife shooting with the FTZII adapter.

Very nice camera.I also own a Z8. That said I have more fun with the Z50 II. I use the Z8 for action and fast shooting and the higher resolution when needed. The rest of the time I use the Z50 II.However, I find myself picking up the Z50 II more often than not. I have used the 100-400 Z mount lens with this body and getting terrific results. So, Nikon, how about some more DX lenses please. Like a 16-80 f4 for instance.

Upgrading from a D 7500 that I’ve loved and taken tons of thousands of wildlife and landscape photos with, including many, many birds. The Z 50ii Is an amazing upgrade for me! First of all, the new auto focus, modes, including birds, are just incredible. The auto focus is an amazing thing. Also, I love the Z glass, As well as the Z mount, which lets so much more light in. Great work, Nikon!

As a Professional Nikon Photographer for 55 years plus, I appreciate quality, performance and longevity.I purchased the Nikon Z50II with the 18-140 mm Zoom lens to be my primary camera for Street Photography. The Z50II is light and compact which means it does not attract the attention that my Z9 with the 85mm f/1.2 does. The Silent Shutter mode enables me to be discreet, get my image and move on to the next.The Nikon Z50II is a great camera for anyone wanting to upgrade from their mobile devices and get into the Nikon "Z" system with their ever expanding array of excellent Z lenses.Video is another area where the Nikon Z50II performs!Built in WiFi and Bluetooth make it easy to transfer photos to your mobile devices for sharing.Photography/Video is an adventure... It will take you to places you may have never imagined.Stay Creative....

Best camera I’ve ever owned… and I’ve owned several (Nikons, Canons, Minoltas). I carry this little compact Z50II everywhere. Wifey and I travel extensively (currently in Sedona as I write this) and I make dozens of photos per day with it. The very quick start up, the amazing auto focus, the beautiful photographic results with incredible dynamic range make me never want to set this camera down.
