New Z50 Model II with Excellent New Features, ..... offers a great value all Digital SLR alternative

Posted by Johnny P on March 3, 2025

Very nice and compact industrial design.Originally got this new camera Model II version, as an upgrade (Christmas gift) from the original Z50 Model IThe improvements are indeed significant.Like most Nikon cameras the user has access to a wide variety of Nikon Z series lenses. The Nikon software which allows the user to transfer the photos to an Apple iPhone works well. The playback option also allows the user to show photos, on a flat screen HDTV , and is an excellent featureThe only negative point I can see is that the End User instruction Manuel is on line only , and Nikon no longer puts/prints the instruction guide in the actual camera box. Cost cutting?

    Z50ii small but powerful

Posted by Robert C. on March 1, 2025

So far so good. Takes great pictures and auto focus is fantastic. I’m a beginner and relied on people i know and their recommendations. Camera is surprisingly light but seem rugged. I suggest getting the lens kit it’s well worth it. I use it for birding and hasn’t disappointed yet.

    Nikon z50ii my baby camera

Posted by Cindy on February 28, 2025

Lovingly referred to as my baby camera I love my z50ii! I love the size, it's great for traveling. I normally shoot with the 18-140mm but I also have the 24mm and 16-50mm all DX lens. I had the z50 and upgraded because of the better auto focus. I have no regrets purchasing the camera. I would love to see more DX lens.

    Nikon Z50 II mini me

Posted by Dennis F. on February 27, 2025

I've been a lifetime Nikon user from film 35mm through digital. I currently have a D780 and 2 D850s in addition to my Z50 II. I purchased it with the 2 kit lenses which are very sharp. I use it when I'm out and about and it captures great quality images. I also have it for my wife to use. I set it up on auto iso and program mode for her. Every image she takes comes out great. I shoot only raw and post process. It's a great compact lite camera and quite a little powerhouse.

    Replacing a D3300

Posted by LaBetha C. on February 26, 2025

I bought this camera to replace a Nikon D3300 that I bought in 2016. I am very happy with every aspect of this camera. The quality of the pictures are as good or better than what I was getting with the D3300. Even though it is 20.6 megapixels instead of 24, I haven't been able to see much difference in picture information, thought the files are slightly smaller. The autofocus improvements alone are worth the price of the camera. This improves on the number of shots that are in focus. I am satisfied with the two kit lenses that came with the camera. Although I mostly use a Nikon 200-500 f5.6 zoom lens for my bird and wildlife shooting with the FTZII adapter.
