Z50II

I strive to keep my gear small and my workflow simple. I was looking for a compact camera that could handle daytime sports (soccer) as well as being a good travel camera. On the hand, the Z50 II feels very well built and the grip is substantial, ergonomics are better than my ex Fuji X-S10.Dynamic range is very good and the autofocus performance is outstanding!Out of camera JPEGs are beautiful but I encourage you to initially shoot RAM+JPEG and edit with Nikon's free NX Studio software and learn the effects of D-Lighting and NR levels on the images. Soon you'll trust the in camera settings and start shooting JPEG only which is what I prefer to do to keep post work to a minimum.I plan to get a large aperture wide angle, but still undecided, for low light in house events or city outings.

Love this camera. My previous camera was the Nikon D3200, yeah 10 years old, so this was a massive upgrade. The changes in the tech of the camera are superb. I am only a devoted amateur photographer trying to get a lot better, and it was a hard choice which camera to get. Everyone said to get the Sony A6400, so I did, and I hated that camera with a passion for so many reasons, got a full refund on it after less than a week. Then I simply asked what as the largest Nikon upgrade I could get that still had a built-in flash (which I do use a lot), and the Z50 Mk II was the winner. 100% satisfied and have been seriously enjoying the Z 50 Mk II which I find to be extremely user-friendly (though maybe too much camera for an absolute beginner; I consider myself intermediate).

This camera offers excellent value for money. You get a lot for your investment. Its compact size makes it incredibly convenient to carry wherever you go. The auto-focus system is reliable and quick, making it suitable for both photography and videography.

I traded in my Z50 for a Z50II. Wow what a difference! The Z50II is a perfect little brother to my Z8. It is light, capable and can be programed almost the same way. With a DX 12-28 lens it has become my perfect travel companion. Thank you Nikon. Highly recommended.

Awesome camera!!!! What more can I say!

I wanted to take a few weeks or so to get used to this camera. Like anything more advanced it takes a while to get settings and I understand all the new gadgetry etc. I came from the d3500 also a beginner camera and I absolutely love it. After getting my settings adjusted I'm a very pleased especially with the speed of the focus since I am mostly birding. I will say I would have appreciated and extra battery but that's a side note. May give five stars down the road as I get more aquainted with all the menu options available.

Bought this for my wife, an upgrade from her Z30 and she loves it. She says that the colors are richer and easier to see when the sun is behind her. I like it because this camera mirrors my Z6II & Z8
