Z fc

I love shooting my Zfc on full manual just like my FM2, but even better, manny many more tools & digital. WOW way better than in the 1970’s. Love this carry around camera with the 40 mm Z lens & 16-50mm for land scapes.

I like the small size, the focus system and the manual controls. I use the swing out tilting screen for videos and when shooting stills from high or low angles, The Menu system is easy to use. Things that could be improved are add an "A" option to the shutter speed and ISO dials. The small display for F stop is OK but I mainly use the camera display or viewfinder to check this. There are lots of accessories available. I bought a small rig cage to provide a finger grip on the right side that improves the handling of the camera. I have the creator's kit and a Gimble system for making videos. I use the F to Z converter with my 35 mm 1.8 lens and it is very good. The 16 -50 mm Lens is good but I wish it had a larger aperture. I have the 24-70 F 4 which is a good walkign around lens and a Viltrox 23 mm when I need a lens for low light. I always take this camera with me on trips and use it for my walking around camera because it is so light and easy to use.

Love my Z fc camera. It is light, fast; the controls are all easily accessible. It takes fantastic pictures! My other cameras are D750 and D50. I like that the Z fc can be adjusted for the perfect shot viewing through the viewfinder or screen--what you see is what you get. The only thing that I wish it had is a wired remote control. Other than that it's a perfect little camera.

Let’s face it. I bought it for the looks. But it is a very competent camera. It is a great walk around camera with the kit lens. I especially love using the variety of manual focus lenses available.

Great Little camera, especially good if you want to teach someone the Triad where they'll be dialing in the numbers themselves. It's compact, efficient and very old school. I have a Z6 and D780... as a walkabout or travel Camera, the Zfc is first in line.

After owning the D850, I bought the Df because it's a "knob twirler" like the old days of film - my beloved Pentax K1000. And then the Zfc was announced - a mirrorless knob-twirler! I couldn't help myself and ordered it along with its kit lens, the 50-250mm lens, and the FTZ adapter. Sweet little camera! Perfect for having with me when I'm out and about and see a great photo op. Recently I gave away the D850/kit lens to my friend's husband and moved further into mirrorless with the Z7ii and FTZii. Two months ago, I went into the pasture to shoot the full moon with my Tamron 150-600mm mounted to the Z7ii/FTZii. Through the smoke of a forest fire in the distance, I grabbed some shots of a "spooky" moon rising over the hills. The next night, I decided to put the Tamron on the Zfc to try out what I'd read about using a crop-sensor camera to get an effective 50% magnification. Lo and behold, it worked! I effectively made the 600mm behave like a 900mm super-zoom! This is now my go-to tool for expanding my zoom options rather than using a 1.4x teleconverter. I absolutely love this little camera. It's fun, it's lightweight, it's powerful, and it gives me added flexibility in my photography. And I just ordered a pink one with kit lens so that my friend - who uses her iPhone for pics - can lose her fear of "real" cameras and have fun while we're out and about traveling or camping.

I was reluctant to make the switch to mirrorless but this camera does not disappoint. The clarity of the pictures are outstanding, the retro look is beautiful, and the ease of use is amazing. I look forward to trying it out on portraits in the very near future.

My first Nixon was a F series purchased in Nairobi Kenya in 1963 and since than many more Nicons to present day Z sereis,when I saw the Zfc ,this is it ,purchased using and just loving it and it looks and works like a dream and I can use most of my Nikon lenses including the old versions manual lenses.
