Z fc

Seems to be a very nice little camera. I have a Nikon FE from "the olden days" and this camera is reminiscent of that as a film camera, but with the usual Nikon digital camera controls. I have had several Nikon DSLR cameras - I only still have my 7100 right now. The Z fc is very light, but doesn't feel like a "toy camera" at all. I plan to use it when I want a light-weight but decent camera to just stick in a bag and have with me.

GRAND SLAM across the board. This camera along with the new Nikon Z lenses our absolutely the very Best. I have been a Nikon photographer since the 70's this camera is light to work with but amazing photographic results. I am not spending time at the computer with photoshop. Photo's our on the money straight out of the camera. The joy of the true Nikon style, like the past Nikon FM FE FE2 cameras. many people our coming up to me Our you shooting film ! It's the perfect camera to take on a trip. I used to own a Nikon FE and the Z fc design brings back a lot of memories, I was hesitant to invest in a Z camera but now that I have I'm more than happy that I made the leap. The image quality and handling aspects of this camera are first rate. I'm definitely going to get an adapter so I can use my existing Nikkor digital lenses with it.

I was a bit ambivalent about purchasing the Z fc as my first mirrorless body. I purchased it with the 16-50mm kit lens. (and after a few days I ordered the 50-200mm Nikkor lens. Could have save a bunch of money if I ordered with both lenses, but oh well) I own three Nikon DSLR bodies, D7100, D500, and D610, and a number of Nikon and third party lenses. Many of the existing reviews online mentioned the body felt "plasticky" and too light weight. I purchased my Z fc without actually touching or holding one so when I opened the box after receiving it I was PLEASANTLY surprised that I didn't think it was either of those descriptions at all. I do miss a hand grip on the side though. I'm used to shooting with all of the above bodies WITH vertical battery grips, so quite the handful. The AF speed is amazing and the low light capabilities are great. Even images shot at ISO 51,000 are usable. I purchased a third party adapter to test out my F lenses the Sigma and Tamron worked perfectly but an older Tokina macro did not. It may need an upgrade? Overall I love the camera. I've been shooting since mechanical film camera days and purchased the Z fc for the retro look, feel, and mechanics of the body. The touchscreen is fantastic to use. It's a fun camera to shoot with when you want to get away from the high tech buttons and features of the modern day SLRs.

Definitely a fun camera and decent back, but it brought me back to my childhood

Got this for my wife. She loves the color and uses it as her main camera. She gets many compliments on it. I liked it so much, I got a silver one for myself.

Owned Nikon cameras since 1970, and would not own anything else. This is an awesome camera, light weight, compact and easy to use. Even with the 50mm lens, still weighs little and love to retro look of it.

It is good for street photography and travel. It is small, light weight, and looks like a film camera. It is easy to have full control of using the fundamentals. FX would have been better. Just saying…

Best decision that Nikon launched the Zfc. As a hobbyist that started with analog cameras, im happy to have bought the zfc. It’s not bulky as the other full frame cameras, and it’s very good for travel photography. It also has dials I loved using when I am still using a film camera before. Yet it’s affordable and has amazing performance. I would definitely buy an upgrade if Nikon will continue this line!
