love my Zf. the 3D tracking auto focus is fantasitc. fast and accurate even in the dark. color is excellent. wish they put all the Zf features into a Z7 body!!!

I pre-ordered the Sun Set Orange Nikon ZF, not only is the camera absolutely beautiful to look at from its amazing aesthetics. I mean the color is amazing, love the dials and the feel of them. This camera is just stunning to look at, like a piece of art. Then once you use it, your not going to wanna put it down. Its so fun to use, adjusting dials and all. Sure the layout is a bit different and the grip isn't the most comfortable in the hand (I would recommend the grip as I'm glad I got it) but its just fun to use. You take things a little slower as you go from scene to scene but that's ok. Putting on the 70-200 is a bit much just in terms of holding it especially to shoot for a while, but 85mm and smaller is much more ideal for this camera body in my opinion. I got this camera to replace my Z6II and to pair with my Nikon Z8 and I couldn't be happier about my decision. I even use it as my second body for weddings with no issues, again especially paring it with smaller lenses and using the larger lenses on your other camera body. I love the BW mode I do wish there was a way to embed the BW mode into the RAW files to process in LR but the jpg versions still look pretty darn good. Again love this camera without a doubt and if your looking to upgrade or add to your collection as a second body, its worth a look at for sure! I feel its just AWESOME.

Cameras are tools. The best ones function as if they were a part of you. It could be my history using SLRs and rangefinders in the days of film, but when I picked up the Zf it just felt right. I truly enjoy leaving the flip-able LCD closed and just focusing on what I want to capture. If you need to check something, it is easy to flip to LCD open to check. I have found that this greatly extends the battery life. The other aspect of the Zf that needs to be mentioned is the Z lenses. I have found that the lenses available are exceptional, especially the "S" lenses. They perform very well by any measure you care to use. Nikon may have been late to build a mirrorless camera but they spent that time developing cameras and lenses that deliver.
