Very Capable Camera
Posted by Jack Berkstresser on March 25, 2023
A very capable camera. I am still learning which settings work best for my preferred type of photography (wildlife) but it normally does a great job. I do wish it had a printed reference guide but I'm afraid nobody is going to offer those any longer.

Make The Move And Buy
Posted by Robert Beal on March 24, 2023
I was hesitant to make the move from my D6 into the mirrored world so I started with the Z7 II when the Z9 was announced I know I had to try it and 400,000 shots later it was the best decision I could have made. And on top of that Nikon keeps making it better with new firmware updates. I can’t say enough about the camera

Exceptional Camera Body and a Great Camera System
Posted by Joseph Sandrin on March 24, 2023
I currently own a F100, D600(IR), D750, D850, Z6 and Z9. I have previously owned a few Nikon P&S cameras plus the J3(underwater) and J5. Each have served well in their roles. The Z9 represents the top of the food chain. It produces the best results by far for my needs and uses. Coupled with the Z lenses and the FTZ adapter, /it helps me capture images I could not have previously imagined. The Z9 is well balanced with the longer lenses making it easier to handhold and balance than the same lens on a smaller body. I use only a small portion of the cameras capabilities and am workng to grow into the rest of what it can deliver. Taken with the exceptional Z lenses, this system is fune to use and captures images I could not have gotten with my past camera bodies. It is complex to learn, there are many different modes to master and my skills are still in their infancy. I look forward to more learning and mastering the capabilities of this body and taking advantage of all it has to offer!

Z9
Posted by Alan Greenberg on March 24, 2023
I went from a D850 to the Z7II to the Z9. The difference in quality and options is amazing. There is a steep learning curve and I spent a lot of time on youTube to get it all set up. But WOW. Best camera I have ever owned. And the Z series lenses are so sharp.

Great camera, no printed documentation
Posted by Clint Matheny on March 24, 2023
Great camera. Would have been even better if it had a small printed documentation book like for my Z7 that I could put in pocket of my camera bag.

Best camera I’ve ever used - but not quite perfect
Posted by William Uzzell on March 24, 2023
I am almost 67 yo, and I’ve owned many cameras over the years. This z9 is overall the best camera I’ve ever owned or used. Period. The IQ is unmatched by any other FF camera, imo. Having said that, it is not perfect. The AF is excellent, but it is not quite up to Canon and Sony in my experience. But, the firmware updates are getting it closer and closer. The z9 seems heavier than it needs to be. Don’t get me wrong, it’s built like a tank, and feels great in the hand, but it could stand to lose a few ounces. At the end of the day, these are nit picks. It is an amazing camera - truly amazing!

Great asset to the Nikon Line
Posted by Donald Kelley on March 24, 2023
I’m delighted with my Z9. For awhile, I was reluctant to purchase the Z9 because I had read so many negative comments on Facebook, etc. However, after receiving the Z9 and comparing it to my D6, I’m convinced the Z9 is as rugged as the D6 and performs as well, too. I recently went out with the Z9 and the 100-400 s lens and was amazed at the beautiful bird images captured using the Z9 in cropped sensor mode giving me a 600 mm equivalent. Still have much to learn, but I’m very satisfied overall with the Z9.
