Great camera, no printed documentation
Posted by Clint Matheny on March 24, 2023
Great camera. Would have been even better if it had a small printed documentation book like for my Z7 that I could put in pocket of my camera bag.

Best camera I’ve ever used - but not quite perfect
Posted by William Uzzell on March 24, 2023
I am almost 67 yo, and I’ve owned many cameras over the years. This z9 is overall the best camera I’ve ever owned or used. Period. The IQ is unmatched by any other FF camera, imo. Having said that, it is not perfect. The AF is excellent, but it is not quite up to Canon and Sony in my experience. But, the firmware updates are getting it closer and closer. The z9 seems heavier than it needs to be. Don’t get me wrong, it’s built like a tank, and feels great in the hand, but it could stand to lose a few ounces. At the end of the day, these are nit picks. It is an amazing camera - truly amazing!

Great asset to the Nikon Line
Posted by Donald Kelley on March 24, 2023
I’m delighted with my Z9. For awhile, I was reluctant to purchase the Z9 because I had read so many negative comments on Facebook, etc. However, after receiving the Z9 and comparing it to my D6, I’m convinced the Z9 is as rugged as the D6 and performs as well, too. I recently went out with the Z9 and the 100-400 s lens and was amazed at the beautiful bird images captured using the Z9 in cropped sensor mode giving me a 600 mm equivalent. Still have much to learn, but I’m very satisfied overall with the Z9.

My go to camera
Posted by Anonymous Shopper on March 23, 2023
I moved up from the Z7 to the Z9 and don’t regret spending the money at all. I really enjoy shooting with the Z9.

AF System Great for Action
Posted by Tom Jones on March 23, 2023
I just did my first serious photo shoot with the Z9 at the Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument in southern Arizona. The camera is very impressive for image quality and pro features. I am still experimenting with the auto focus system for action (sports, wildlife and BIF). So far, AF is amazing. Only drawback is the camera is a beast but the ergonomics are terrific.

Retirement Gift to Me
Posted by Bob Shea on March 23, 2023
From FM2 to FE2 to N80 to D70/90/7100/750 to my new Z9, I’ve been a Nikon shooter since being commissioned a naval officer in 1982. My Nikons have catalogued my career, our journey as a family, my sons high school and college sports. Now my Z9 will document retirement travel, my grandkids and volunteer photography. I didn’t need it. I wanted it! It is perfect and will keep me busy for years. It is the perfect camera for me.

This camera opens up many possibilities. It's an amazing tool. It's fast, autofocus is accurate, the battery life is excellent, I have no complaints at all. Well worth the price.

Z 9 wins the Mirrorless battle.
Posted by Walter Blady on March 23, 2023
I came up through the Nikon ranks ever since my first Nikon F back in the 60s, then made the transfer to Nikon digital with the 800E. Since then I've upgraded to the latest version of DSLR that Nikon introduces. My latest DSLR was the D850, which I still have, then made the move to Mirrorless with the Z 7. Found some shortcomings with that model but I could see that Mirrorless was the future. I honestly thought I’d never own a Z 9 because of the availability issue. One day I wandered into my small, local camera store for passport photos and saw a Z 9 in the showcase. It was mine within minutes. I haven't explored all the features of this gorgeous camera but it has thrilled me so far with what it can do. Nikon really put their thinking caps on when they designed the Z 9. I has everything built into it that was missing from the Z 7, and more. It’s a beautiful, powerful, smooth operating camera to operate, and definitely the future of photography. Nikon has a definite winner here.
