    Incredible for Tracking Fast Action

Posted by Tam Pham on March 28, 2023

I've been a D850 user for years and was hesitant to switch to mirrorless, but having put the Z9 through its paces that is quickly becoming an unfounded concern. Besides its impressive performance, the camera ergonomics are great and battery life is fantastic to boot.

The Best Camera I Have Owned!

Posted by Lee Jackson on March 28, 2023

The best all around camera I have ever owned. There is a bit of a learning curve for some of the advanced features and settings but you will be richly rewarded if you take the time to learn the ins and outs of all this camera can do.

It certainly lives up to all the hype. Coming from the D500, the D850 and the Z6ii, I see it as a progression of my photography. Some of the features I like are the battery life and the ability to use my F Mount lenses. But it has its problems too: its heavy, the card door is difficult, I wish it had the U-1......settings instead of the Banks,, etc. It is going to take me a while to make it work for me.

    Most Versatile Camera

Posted by GARY SMITH on March 27, 2023

Solid pro camera. It's perhaps the most versatile camera in the market today because it performs as well in the studio as it does on a sports field.

    Excellent Camera!

Posted by Melissa Stynski on March 27, 2023

It bought the z9 several months ago and I have taken time to read the manual, watch videos and practice with it. I am so impressed by the true work horse this camera is. I am excited to use it for years to come.

Don't expect to jump right into using the Z9, there is a learning curve with the enhanced Menu Banks, but well worth the effort once you get a hang on all the customizable setup options. I am loving the The Z9 autofocus with subject-recognition! It is phenomenal!

Love my Z9 so much, I got two.

Posted by Mark Harding on March 27, 2023

I upgraded from the D850 and have never looked back. It has taken a bit of time to learn the focus modes and what works best, but my rate of keepers with wildlife has increased greatly. It is also excellent in landscape photography as well. Very happy!

    Great Camera, but...

Posted by Craig Kirkpatrick on March 26, 2023

Overall the Z9 is an amazing camera and I'm very satisfied with my purchase. I used to shoot with a D850. I love the detail and low light capability. The camera is a game changer for me. For me the 20FPS speed shooting best quality raw is perfect. Almost always get a keeper! I shoot mostly wildlife, with some sports. I have 2 main issues I hope go away soon. 1. The auto focus, at least when shooting animals, is not near as good as the top of the line Sony or Cannon. 2. I really liked the lens road map Nikon put out, so I stuck with Nikon when I went to mirrorless. Then I had to wait or about 7 months to get the camera. Now I can't get either the new 400mm or the 600mm even though I'm a NPS member, been waiting since Oct. for the 600 and around a year I guess for the 400. It looks Nikon will be a great choice for wildlife photographers when/if you can get the new lens. Using the FTZ adapter is okay, but isn't as good as Sony or Cannon. Hope this helps, Craig
