Great Addition to the Z Lineup
Posted by Troy Washington on June 14, 2023
A s a long time user/owner of Nikon photographic equipment (D3100, D5300, D800, D850, Z6, Z7, Z7II) I purchased the Z8 as an upgrade and replacement for my Z7II, and is surely did not disappoint! Hand down, the Z8 is the best camera that I've owned, ergonomically, functionally, build quality, and at an exceptional price point.

Great compliment to my Z9!
Posted by Gregory Goodfellow on June 14, 2023
I love my new Z8. I love my Z9 but sometimes wished it was a bit smaller and lighter. The Z8 fit the bill perfectly for me. Button placement and functionality is so similar I no longer struggle going back and forth like I do with the Z7. No camera is perfect but this comes pretty close.

Great camera!
Posted by Wolfgang Kaehler on June 14, 2023
I have been putting the Z8 to the test by photographing Barred owls over the past days. The cameras autofocus did well taking photos and video under very low light conditions and having to deal with branches in front of the owls. The AF easily found the eye and stayed on there when the animal was moving. It was helpful to have the same controls as the Z9.

Fantastic !!!
Posted by Ronald Rogozinski on June 14, 2023
Have been using Nikon cameras forever. Just to name a few D300, D3s, D750, D850 and Z7. All were superb but the Z8 is phenomenal. Best handling, EVF, FPS and AUTO FOCUS !!! Have been using it for several weeks and the captures are perfect. Using 20 FPS is like a machine gun when doing BIF. Highly recommend this camera.Sample pics attached all taken using FTZ 1 on Nikon 200-500mm lens with TC-14E III.

NC Photography Studio - Nikon Z8 Review
Posted by Nicholas Chiaffarelli on June 14, 2023
Coming from the Z7ii, this camera is a huge upgrade. It has a real professional feel to it and it's the perfect size and weight. Autofocus is and very accurate. 3D tracking is awesome! Video quality and options for internal recording are endless. So many formats sizes and frame rates. The one feature that I didn't see from the Z7ii which I relied on heavily was the low light assist on screen without the green illumination light. I may be not seeing it but if Nikon could being this back in a future firmware update that would be awesome. I like that feature because I don't like using the been illuminator because it's very distracting.Looking forward to future firmware upgrades like the Z9s update that just dropped!

I Love It!
Posted by Leon Schaible on June 14, 2023
I have just started using the Z8 and am getting used to it. So far, I find it to be much better than my previous D850. The auto-focus system is far superior and the smaller size makes it easier to handle and carry. I love it!
