Best Nikon camera I have owned.

    Posted by H E on June 28, 2023

After years of using Nikon cameras, from film cameras to the D750, Z6II... This is by far the best one I have used. It makes getting the shot so much easier. Great autofocus, perfect size and weight for me and the speed is amazing. I love it.

    Love this Mirriorless

Posted by KORDEEN KOR on June 28, 2023

I have been shooting wildlife with my D850 for about 3 years now, and am very comfortable with it. So when I unpacked the Z8 and started to play around I found a few things had changed from the 850. No quick selection to change metering modes from matrix to point. This is a menu function on the Z8. Now that I have that out of the way. I love this camera. The focus options are exactly what I need when shooting birds in flight. Then camera in 3D locks on and tracks even small birds in flight. The electronic view finder was easy to adjust to, as it provides a good image, and depicts the light settings when changing exposure values. Very helpful for backlit subjects, or subjects in shaded areas. It is light weight, and easy to handle, smaller than the 850, but has the same feel. You won't go wrong with this camera.

Move to Mirrorless. D850 to Z8

Posted by LISA POTTIGER on June 26, 2023

I have been waiting to make the transition to mirrorless and Z8 is the camera I have been waiting for. Similar to the D850, it's an excellent all-around camera, only better. I really like the focus tracking capabilities.

The camera I was waiting for

Posted by DELSY RODRIGUEZ on June 25, 2023

This was the camera I was waiting for. I transitioned from dslr to Z7ii, which it is an awesome camera. Z8 surpasses my expectations, it is fast, fits my hand perfectly and has the best of slr and probably the best of the mirrorless world.

    Love it!

Posted by Linda Caden on June 25, 2023

Love love love the Z8. Amazing focus tracking! It's like it reads my mind. We're a team following birds in flight, in the tall grasses, in the crowded colonies. Best yet, I can handle it--in terms of weight and size. Thank you, Nikon!

The best Nikon I have ever owned and I have owned a bunch of them.

Posted by Jules Vuotto on June 25, 2023

I have been shooting with Nikon cameras for over 50 years and the Z8 is without a doubt the best so far. Image quality, auto-focus, frame rate and the ability to customize it to perfectly fit my needs are some of my favorite things. In fact have have published several YouTube videos on the Z8, praising it.

Very fast focusing with the Z100-400 lens. Minimal grain at high ISO. Short battery life

    Great Camera!

Posted by Will Stattman on June 22, 2023

The Z8 has exceeded my expectations in nearly every way. The sensor and autofocus are amazing. My main gripe is with the shooting bank system: it feels inferior to the U1/U2/U3 modes on the Z6 and Z7. I wish there was an option for the shooting banks to remember changes or not remember changes. The way they function right now all changes are remembered and the old settings need to be loaded from an external card if you want to revert back. Most frustrating of all, though, is that the the shooting banks do not remember the release mode / drive settings. Since the physical release mode dial was eliminated these should absolutely be saved settings. I want to have single shot release saved on bank A with AF-S and single point for landscapes and continuous high saved on bank B with AF-C and 3D tracking for action. Sadly this is currently not possible. Nikon, please change this in a firmware update!

D850 to Z8, and Now my Favorite travel camera!

Posted by Edstanley Suguitan on June 22, 2023

I upgraded my D850 to Z8. The best upgrade decision! The Z8 has all the bells and whistles the Z9 has in a smaller form factor. I now travel with this Z8 without thinking about which camera body I should have brought!
