This is pro level powerhouse that anyone can use.
Posted by Dale Cunning on January 7, 2024
Whether you are a full time photographer, student, or hobbyist, Look no further Than Nikon and their lineup of world class products. The Nikon z8 is a powerhouse and has everything you will ever need in a camera that fits in your hand. It is very user friendly. Being a wildlife photographer and in the field a lot, This powerhouse of a camera and is built for whatever your needs may be. The only thought I have on improving this camera is this. It does not need much. We all want improvements with anything we buy in today's world. With that said. I would like to see Nikon improve on the Power grip for the Z8 by adding a choice of Batteries for it. I have other cameras with grips and have a choice between a battery tray which is included with grip able to hold two EN-EL15 batteries, or the one large battery that just slides in. I have both the Z8 and the Z9. by giving this choice I would always have batteries ready and able to switch as needed. I truly enjoy and Love my Nikon Z8. Thank you Nikon for Producing such a wonderful product.

An all rounder! Walloper in it's own right.
Posted by Yaseen Jamaludeen on January 4, 2024
Been a Nikon user for over 30 years now. I absolutely low how the same essential design principle and values of the company are kept as technology evolves and as much as I wanted the Z9 but wasn't sure about the size and weight I was waiting for an equally capable alternative. With very little compromises which truly isn't difficult to circumvent the Z8 is a perfect balance of feature, comfort and value. I absolutely love this intricate machine with all my heart and enjoy all sorts of photography except for underwater work thus far.

It's the camera I expected. An amazing camera. The only think I wanted to see, is non digital user guide. When I need to review a feature, I need my laptop. This is not good..

The Perfect Entry into the Mirror-less World
Posted by Russ Bishop on January 1, 2024
Timing was perfect for this D850 shooter to move into the mirror-less world. The adapter allows me to use all of my stellar Nikon glass while migrating to the new system. Handling, menus and ergonomics made for a smooth transition from the D850, which will remain my backup body. For my first mirror-less lens the 24-70 f2.8S was the perfect choice and is beautifully balanced on the Z8. The critical points that sold me were the dual memory slots (I use the #2 slot for in camera backup) and the electronic viewfinder, both of which were not available in earlier mirror-less bodies.

Great but complicated.
