Z 8

I wanted a second camera as a backup or when taking Long exposure star trails. I loved my current Z8 so much I bought another.

I've really only gotten started with my new Z8 but at every turn I am greatly impressed by it. I got the FTZ-II because currently I only own F mount glass, but it all works flawlessly with the Z8. AutoFocus is noticeably faster on the same AF lenses. Image quality is amazing, and whenever I share an image the comments are all very positive. Still have a LONG way to go to get quick with it, but it's a very logical operational method to the D7100 I've used for over a decade. I am very interested in getting to shoot video. I had borrowed a friends Z7 earlier this summer and was impressed by it, so I'm expecting great video with the Z8.

80,000 images of all kinds of genres. The best Nikon I’ve ever owned. The versatility and customizabilty are superb. Feels great in my hands and is rugged as hell. My 8th Nikon and it is the King of them all !

I still have a D500 which uses the DX format. The D500 is great for telephoto but not so much at wide angle. The D500 can not really shoot movies but the Z8 can. Of course the Z8 has a better autofocus with native lenses.

Very happy with my Z8. Upgraded from the 6II for the autofocus and increased resolution and blown away with the easy and accuracy of subject detection and tracking. The design and quality of the camera build is spot on. Been a life long Nikon shooter this camera exceeded my expectations. There’s nothing that I dislike, Nikon have delivered an awesome camera at good price.

No regrets buying the Z8 as a lifelong hobbyist. The Z180-600 kit price was too good to pass up! If you are familiar with the Nikon ecosystem, the menus are vast but make sense. The reference guide Nikon publishes online is very useful, especially for amateurs like myself, and is surprisingly good resource for making sure you are aware of all features that you may never know you needed. Coming from the Z5, the autofocus and low light performance alone are leaps forward. This camera won’t improve my skills by default, but it is an absolute joy to use and l love continuing to learn and explore with this fantastic new tool!

I have been always used Nikon cameras. I purchased them personally and for work. I was always satisfied with performance of the cameras. I have been using the Z6 II for the past three years. The auto focus sometimes would not lock in and I missed the shot. I recently purchased the Z 8 and I am amazed at it's performance. The Z8 is in a class of it's own. I believe this camera will serve me well for several years.

The camera is amazing but takes a lot of effort to learn how to use all the features. You combine it with lightroom and photoshop and your creative ability has been amazing to me

This is the best camera I have ever owned because of the functionality. Getting really good photos.
