Oooh la la

While this camera is Very new to me, I’m completely impressed by my images. They are incredibly clear, sharp, and at the same time dreamy. I’ve fallen in love…

Love the Z8!
Posted by Dan Soto on November 18, 2024
I have a Z9 and a Z6II and bought the Z8 to replace the Z6 II. I love the Z9 and all of its features except the size, so I bought the Z8 to get all those great things in a smaller package. Love everything the camera does; it’s everything the Z9 is! I was somewhat worried the smaller EN-EL 15c battery would be limiting but so far it’s done all I’ve wanted it to. Great camera!

Just a great full frame camera
Posted by GARY SIATKA on November 1, 2024
I bought this to replace my Z6. This camera is amazing. It takes a while to learn the features and settings. Youtube videos are a big help. I can't say enough about this camera. If this fits your budget I would definitely buy it.

completely satisfied
Posted by Richard Shelton on October 24, 2024
I haven't had a chance to run my Z8 through a full battery of tests but so far, I am completely satisfied. I upgraded from a Z7ii and what a difference. I will be using this primarily for underwater photography and some video. I will let you know how things work out and post another review at a later time.

Still learning, but…
Posted by Jeffrey Gresko on October 19, 2024
I admit I’m still learning. I’m new to mirrorless. Although I did own a Z6ii. I found it inadequate for bird photography, my primary interest, and put it aside for my D500. So, I am now getting use to using the z8 full time for bird photography. I have only had it for two weeks. With that in mind, I find the autofocus is not as snappy as my D500….or maybe I’m still within the learning curve. The cons are the tendency of autofocus to hunt when trying to lock on small birds forage in thick brush and terrible battery life. On the plus side the ergonomics are great and the higher resolution has allowed me to use higher ISOs and shutter speeds.

Excellent
Posted by Dan Dan on October 19, 2024
Has a very good solid feel. Image quality is excellent as expected. The main reason for getting this is the auto focus capabilities. It is absolutely excellent in this regard. It is completely reliable in locking on to a person, animal, or other object. Normally when I do a photo shoot almost all my shots are in perfect focus. It's basically the Z9 in a smaller lighter package. I like this better as the Z9 would be just too bulky for my use.

Z8
Posted by Alex on October 17, 2024
When I order a brand new camera directly from your web site it should be a brand new never opened box. Which when opened you could tell someone ha re-packaged this item. You spend 5k on a camera and this is what you get. Will never order directly from Nikon ever again.

Unbelievable quality and performance
Posted by Greg Moore on September 29, 2024
I made the jump into the Nikon Z8 a month ago and, my gosh, I will never go back!I have been shooting on the Z6ii with a Z6 as my backup for awhile now and, switching from using a competitors DSLR line for years, I was so impressed. The first image I took out of the box with my Z6 four years ago had me selling all my old gear and investing in multiple Z lenses. I picked up the Z6ii two years ago and have loved the combo of these two bodies. I decided it was time to go all in this summer so I pulled the trigger on the Z8 and I am so glad I did! This thing is unbelievable! The jump in picture quality and clarity alone is absolutely stellar. My images are tac sharp from corner to corner! Portraits are beautiful and produce rich, accurate skin tones. Landscape images are amazingly accurate to exactly what I'm looking at and blow up really nice for hanging on my wall. And the 3D tracking combined with the higher frame rates while shooting wildlife is a downright dream! 10/10 would recommend to anyone serious about photography!
