    Marvelous Z8

Posted by Tom Dietrich on March 1, 2024

Own the Z 7II and have really enjoyed using it. But, after reading reviews and studying the specs of the Z8, decided to add it to my collection. It is truly amazing. Thought the battery duration might be an issue, it hasn't been an issue at all. Can't wait to use the Z8 on my 180-600 this spring to I head for central Nebraska to photograph the Sandhill cranes!!

    Back to Nikon

Posted by Jesse Hermanson on March 1, 2024

Nikon has always had some of the best sensors in their cameras, from the D3, D4, D850 etc. the Z8 is no exception. Everything that kept me away from coming back to Nikon after my D850 is fixed and actually better than. I could have asked for. The only thing this camera isn’t “perfect” at, is battery life. If you are on the fence about this camera, just jump. It’s amazing. Glad to be back with Nikon!

The Z8/9 are the finest cameras on the planet and provide great value for the serious shooter!

Posted by Craig Metz on February 29, 2024

This is my sixth Nikon camera and while I enjoyed using them all and still have three in the fleet this Z8 is just magical. Truly a work of art and artistry and in turn allows my creative juices to flow even further. Nikon, not only did you hit the Z8 out of the box, I believe its bigger brother the Z9 will be landing on the moon shortly. Hats of to the team at Nikon for this superb piece of technology.

I spend most of my time photographing wildlife that said, The new features with the firmware upgrade 2.0 has helped me capture more keepers. The bird dedicated auto focus and the auto capture is amazing! I have big hands and find it fits perfectly in my hands, the controls and buttons are perfectly placed. Also love the 24-120/4S this lens is perfect for landscape photography and the images are very sharp. I would recommend to anyone for any photography genres.

The Nikon Z8 is truly an amazing camera

Posted by Robert Young on February 25, 2024

I can't imagine why any serious photographer would have any major complaints or concerns about the Z8 camera with FW 2.0 or later. Looking through some of the older reviews I see that almost all of the complaints have been addressed in FW 2.0, and the rest seem to be people that feel it is too complicated, haven't taken the time to learn the camera yet, or just don't like the feel of it. To me, it's the most amazing camera that I have ever owned, and I have had many. I switched from Canon to Nikon a few years back, and it took me a while to get used to the change. For a while I was even tempted to go back. But with the Z8 I am so glad I stuck with Nikon. The Z9 was just too big for me, and with only a couple of features that were not available in the Z8, it was a pretty easy choice for me. But like with any piece of equipment built for professionals, take the time to know the camera, and it will deliver all of the quality and performance that you could want.
