Z 8

Coming from the Canon 80D DSLR crop sensor camera, the Z8 is so amazing with focus tracking, custom banks, low iso noise and increase in megapixels for cropping to compliment the excellent glass of the 24-120mm and 100-400mm S lenses. Despite the learning curve, I'm loving it so far and highly recommended it!A few extra batteries, CF B memory cards, the Nikon Z 1.4 teleconverter and Sirui AM-254+KS-20 tripod will be delivered soon to complete my camera bag soon.

Ive only had it for a week but so far ive been very impressed with its versatility and even more impressed with the auto focus. The reason I switched to Canon a few years ago was because of the lousy auto focus of the earlier Z cameras. This camera restores my faith in Nikons ability to make cameras that rival Canons. Im not quite ready to sell off my R7 & 100-500 but if this camera continues to perform as i expect it to, I wont have any further need for it. Well done Nikon!

So far-so good. I have just received it and started using it. Mostly just playing with it right now and learning how it works, but very happy with the images and the performance over my Z7II. It is just a little bigger but not much and I am much happier with the images I see. I will begin using it more and the Z2II less as I get more comfortable with it.

Perfect camera for me: size, ergonomics, pic's. Purchased an R5 before the Z8 was available. Traded the R5 for it.

It is beautiful to use, and the results are spectacular. I bought the Z8 as an upgrade from my Z7II and could not be happier. The mode settings and setting banks make shooting much easier than my Z7II. The images are great (color, acuity), even with mid-range quality glass. It's still a relatively big camera compared with the Z7II but that's quibbling.

After working my way through the menus and setting the camera up the way I like, I spent a few days working with it in a few common situations for me. I am very pleased with the result and will be doing a studio session on Wednesday, including flash. I am especially please that after almost 1,100 frames my battery is still at 50%.

Love Love Love my new Nikon Z8! Had my first portrait session with it yesterday & absolutely love how the photos turned out with the skin softening setting. Perfect upgrade from my Nikon Z5.

Bit of a learning curve coming from a D500 to the Z8 but I have been impressed with the subject aware autofocus and the picture quality.

Finally a mirrorless D500!!! Autofocus for birds in flight is insanely good. So glad I stopped being a cheapskate and opened up my wallet for this baby. $3500 is quite a steal!
