    Worth every dollar

I´ve been trying to think of something I didn´t like about my Z7 but have come up empty. The photos are stunning and the FX sensor is largely responsible for that. Highly recommended.

    Fantastic Camera!

Posted by GBinFWB on October 6, 2019

I truly didn´t know what to expect since I owned the D850 and absoutely loved it. I took advantage of the recent promotion Nikon offered and was able to get the Z7 at a much reduced price. This camera is absolutely fantastic. Besides being much lighter than the D850, it is very easy to set up and maneuver through the menu. The Z lenses are still out of my reach so using the FTZ adapter works flawlessly. Images are very sharp. I´ve used my Sigma 150-600, Nikkor 28-300, Nikkor 20mm, and Sigma 17-50. I love night shooting and was pleasantly surprised at the noise reduction. I love how you easily go from using the back screen to the viewfinder without having to find dials or commands. This is especially helpful when trying to focus at night. Overall, this camera does NOT disappoint!

    Outstanding camera

Amazing results from the first shutter click. I am extremely pleased so far. Very easy to use in all the situations I used it in. I replaced a Nikon 1V3 and the results don´t disappoint. Excellent with either the kit lens or any of my AF S lenses. Keep it up Nikon!!

A Great Alternative to the DSLR

Posted by Redwine on September 28, 2019

I read the reviews and quite honestly they scared me but my fears were unfounded. I have wanted to downsize from the heavy DSLR´s for years but there were no viable options until the Z. While the Z is different from the DSLR´s the transition has been an easy one and I have sacrificed nothing but a load of redundant weight.

Important tool for the modern photographer.

It is crucial to have a high-quality monitor on the back of the camera to be showing clients during a photoshoot what they look like so that they can adjust themselves and to be on the same page on selections and edits. The rating system in the camera helps on this.

    This is a great product

    Posted by JD750 on September 20, 2019

I have a mirrorless M43 kit and I have used it for travel and adventure since circa 2005. I am sold on the mirrorless format. I wondered why Nikon waited so long. But this camera is a great product. I will say IMHO Nikon hit one out of the park with it. The EVF is excellent, color, features, IQ are Nikon high quality. Very happy with it. Battery life? Carry one or two extras.

The F2Z could be better. It´s an odd shape, it protrudes below the camera body, and is missing the autofocus motor so AF-D lenses must be manually focused. But manual is not hard with the Z. I don´t shoot much action so I can´t comment on the autofocus systems in those situations. For what I shoot, the focus has been spot on. The Z7 camera quickly replaced my DSLR as my go-to camera. The DSLR is a spare now.

I believe what Nikon needs to introduce is a Z2F adaptor. It would sell more S lenses. Why? Because people like me would more quickly buy the new S lenses If we could use them with our existing SLRs (and DSLRS).

    Two is Better Than One

Love it! I got the Z7 to replace my damaged D750. Now I will be trading in my undamaged D850 for a second Z7.

    Loving the Z7

Posted by ILoveNikon on September 5, 2019

Just got my Z7 a few weeks ago and so far I am loving it. I have mostly used the 24-70 f4 lens with some amazing results but have also experimented with the adapter and taking a few macro shots. The lighter weight makes it so nice to take on walks.
