Mount Adapter FTZ

I purchased the Z7 with a FTZ mount so I could utilize my existing Nikon FX F mount and Nikon compatible lenses. As advertised, the mount works flawlessly with extremely sharp images as a reward for trying yet another fantastic Nikon product. I still like my D850, and earlier D810´s and D750´s. Knowing that I can use the equipment already in my case with the newest tech designs, can only leave you with another sense of satisfaction for having chosen Nikon. With the Z7 and FTZ mount, Nikon is bringing it´s ´´A´´ game. It certainly makes it hard for anyone using one not to have a smile with the results.

I attached the FTZ to our Nikon Z7 and Nikon 105mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S VR Micro NIKKOR Lens to digitize 35mm slides. The FTZ adapter did exactly what I needed it to do...It enabled me to use an existing Nikon macro lens.

Had I not had a polarizing filter to use with my Nikon lenses, I would be another person requesting revised models of the FTZ adapter to include a chamber for filters/gels.

Have used on all my F mount lenses, 24/120, 50 m/m 1.4, 105 Macro. No problems encountered.

I would not have purchased the new Nikon Z if this adapter wasn´t available. It works great with my tilt-shift lens.

I love my new Z7. I was trying to decide between getting the D850 and the Z7. In the end, the availability of the FTZ adaptor won me over. I did not have to invest in the new Z mount lenses. All my existing Nikkor lenses work seamlessly. The lone exception are my 60 mm Micro and my 105 DC Nikkor. Those lenses are AF not AF-S and must be focused manually. I found the FTZ easy to use, and the balance is very comfortable no matter which lenses I use. I have used it with prime lenses, short zooms and my 200-500 and am happy with its performance.

I wish Nikon had incorporated a drop in filter holder like Canon is offering. That changes the dynamic from a must have to use F lenses to a really useful piece of gear

Love the Z-6 camera and the FTZ adapter works great with the camera

The adapter works as advertised. Biggest downside is the extra 1 1/8´´ it adds to the lens length. For this reason, I will gradually change over to Z-series lenses except for those I rarely use like my macro.
