It works great, avoid the stress of buying all new lenses when changing from a DSLR to a mirrorless!

Initially I got the message that lens was not compatible with my Nikon Z50 camera. After doing a google search I found out that I needed a firmware update. Maybe warn future customers that this might need to be done. :)

FTZ II

Recently received this product. It fits well and accepts at least 3 of my F mount lenses. Based on that I assume that all my F mount lenses will fit just fine. Seems well constructed.

Nikon FTZ ii positive review
Posted by Casey Crocker on March 26, 2023
A most impressive piece of engineering. I am very pleased that there is no focal factor or loss of light when using any FX format lens. I have some old lenses, so it is expected the auto-focus doesn't work, but all communication occurs.

F mount len(s) to Z adapter
Posted by Gordon Armstrong on December 27, 2022
It is disappointing that paying over $300 for this FTZ II mount adapter that when connecting my F mount Nikon lens it does not butt up completely to seal the two products. Just a the mount does to the body and what my Nikon len(s) did with my Nikon DSLR. I see about 1/8 inch of the stainless steel of the lens ! In this day and age of precision engineering that Nikon could not design the mount to make it flush with the lens. All this means is there now exists a spot for dust to enter. And with no mirror the sensor is susceptible to dust.
