Good superzoom camera but BEWARE
Posted by AliJ2017 on December 31, 2016
This camera is nice even it is not a DSLR or mirorless. It has a powerful zoom for a compact bridge camera and the image quality is OK. However, this camera has a poor and fragile battery door which can be easily broken. tHis type of battery door is also similar on the Nikon Coolpix L840. It is a very bad design from Nikon and there is no spare part of it to buy if your warranty is over.
I do not recommend people to buy it because of this. -

Camera takes nice pictures but wifi/bluetooth does not work
Posted by HoneyLensphotography on December 6, 2016
I got this camera for my girlfriend for our 3 year anniversary because she has always wanted to be a photographer. it took me a while to set up the camera and give it the firmware update, but after her first photo shoot we could not connect to the camera to download the pictures to her phone or mine. we deleted the app and restarted her camera and both of our phones in different orders to try to get it to work but it would not. when we finally got it to work took a while to download. two more photo shoots later and both times the phones could not connect to the camera to download pictures. this last time we couldnt get it to work at all.

Love the camera but disappointed in the wi-fi bluetooth capability
Posted by SarahB17 on September 24, 2016
I purchased this camera because I had an old Nikon Coolpix and loved it. Figured the new technology would be awesome. The camera takes great pictures and its easy to use BUT the Snapbridge is a huge disappointment... I tried to connect the camera to my iPhone and it says the firmware needs to be updated. I go on the appropriate website and it says it wont be released until September! (it´s September). Now I see reviews that looks like back in May it should have been up and running. I´m very discouraged by this! When you buy something like this you expect for everything to be current and up and running with no glitches! What´s going on Nikon????

Want to like the camera but can´t even use it.
Posted by TRaymond on September 22, 2016
Well I read so many good reviews about this camera and I´m so upset because I can´t even use it because I have a iPhone which makes no sense. There is no update software for apple devices therefore I can´t set the camera up to use it. The first one I bought I thought it was something wrong with it and I called customer service for her to tell me oh it´s not working return it. So I waste my time to go back up there to exchange it for another one. For it to do the samething. I call customer service again! Finally he tells me that it´s no way I can use to camera with my iPhone and have to set it up using another smart device. This is ridiculous. That is something they should tell you before selling it. Makes no sense so now I have to go back to the store for the 3rd time to see if the store can set it up for me until the release the software update for apple. If not I can´t use the camera and returning it!!

Love not only the color, but , the camera itself!
Posted by HobbyShot on September 1, 2016
Ordered and received the plum B500 Coolpix, and immediately starting taking pictures. I purchased the camera as an upgrade from my smartphone camera, and boy, was I pleasantly surprised. The color, zoom, picture quality are for superior to what I had expected.

Beginner... But in LOVE with my new b500!
Posted by Johanna on August 9, 2016
I know very little about cameras... I knew I wanted a simple point and shoot with a great zoom. After reading many reviews I had it down between the b500 and the p900. Being new to cameras I decided to go with the less expensive option. I´m really glad I did! The b500 has a great zoom, 40x, and very easy controls, super user friendly. I´m really happy with the pics so far... I took some amazing shots of the moon. Also the snapbridge app is really easy to use and convenient... allows me to share my pics on facebook and Instagram. Very happy with my purchase!

Grrrrr not Great
Posted by NIKKORMAT on July 14, 2016
Love Nikon quality products and purchased based on WIFI compatible for transfer and storage. Spent hours trying to download Snapbridge, deleting and re installing not understanding why no linking. Trying all sorts of variations. I gave up and finally next day called Customer support and going through different avenues customer rep finally gave up. Said he did not understand why his guide was not matching camera´s visuals. He said he could not help with info he had up and passed me up the chain to a pro; after 5 minutes some one came on the line and said Nikon not compatible with iOS; WHAT???? ´´hoping´´ to get a new app soon, see issues with iCloud and I would not want to co-mingle my iOS photos with NIKON´s. THIS WOULD NOT BE GOOD. I know the camera is good but it is Wi-Fi and Cloud that would make this product unique and new.
