Z 6

I Love the Z6. The image quality is fantastic! Great dynamic range and clarity. I have also extensively tested my 24-70 F4 Z lens, and it performs WAY beyond what I expected. Corners are sharp at F4, great handling, and balances well with the camera. I was surprised at how much I love all the new tech in the camera, as well as how quiet it is! I am looking forward to adding to my Z lenes, but I use my F mount lenses with no issues. BUY this camera!

My only issue is that I REALLY miss the vertical grip that I have on my D750. Having that extra shutter button for vertical shots is really something that I miss.

I bought a Z6 and upgraded from a D5300 and what an upgrade it was! The Z6 is rugged and as close to being ergonomically perfect as a camera can get. The controls are placed exactly where you need them. The viewfinder is crisp and gives an excellent preview of your photo. I bought the 24-70 f2.8 (which takes beautiful shots) but, with the included adapter, I can also use my Nikon legacy lenses without any issues. I seriously looked at the Sony a7iii but glad I stuck with Nikon.

I have been a Nikon owner for many years from film to digital. I must say I was skeptical when the Z 6 and Z 7 we´re launched. I waited before I bit the bullet and purchased a Z 7. I sold a D800 and bought a Z 6. My main reason for going mirrorless is the weight factor, but also the quality of the new lenses. I believe Nikon have a winner with the Z 6 and Z7.

Love my Z6. It is an upgrade from my D750 and I don´t regret the move in any way. My choice was to go with the D850 or wait for upgraded DSLRs. I can read the writing on the wall and believe that the Zs are the future of photography so I jumped in. Still love my 750 and 3s but have fully embraced the new! This is a quality Nikon build and the output is superb.

I am learning daily positive reasons why I purchased the Z6. I traded in my D750 which I loved.
The Z6 is teaching me how to be a better photographer. It´s a hobby that continues to get me outside.
My only wish is that I had a workshop book that would offer me projects that teach me the multiple facets of using my Z6...projects. Happy Owner of a Nikon Z6

After a lot of research and discussions, decided to trade in my D850 for the Z6. ( Don´t start with Z7. I got the Z6 on purpose). Very light to handle and a pleasure to shoot. The RAW files are more than adequate even for cropping, which I rarely do. The files are clean even close to ISO 6400. Low light performance is awesome ( the main reason I got the Z6, along with the weight factor). The 14-20 F/4 Z lens is sharp and clear. The Z works great with my existing Nikon and Tamron lens with the FTZ adapter. It is going to be my favorite travel camera. Will be testing with my Profoto lighting soon. Completely satisfied!

I have used Nikon professionally for 30 years and the Z series is a phenomenal piece of hardware...from commercial and advertising to social media campaigns.
Nikon mirrorless system is a game changer in professional photography.

Like many reviewers, I have owned several Nikon camera, dating back to the old Fotomic T with the metering apparatus coupled mechanically to the lens. My latest was the D750 which I truly loved. I still have a collection of prime and zoom F mount lenses which I use with the Z6 FTZ adapter. I´m not a professional, but I´ve been around the block on cameras, belong to a large camera club here in our private community, so get a lot of advice and help when needed.
I do wish the Z6 had stayed with the two SD card slots, and I miss the in-camera autofocus that would make it totally (focus) compatible with my non-motorized focus lenses. Guess this is just Nikon´s way of encouraging us to move up to all the lenses with built-in focus motors. Got four nice F-mount Nikon AF-s lenses, so guess I´ll just grin and bear it.
