    Better camera

Posted by Carl Morrison on December 3, 2025

I’m enjoying my camera and lens. I been using a canon powder shot for a long time and this is a big step up from that. Still learning with my new camera and lens but sure enjoying it

Sets a new standard in this price range

Posted by David Riedl on November 23, 2025

Money cannot buy happiness, but it can buy a Nikon Z6 III, which is a pretty awesome camera and truly brings me joy to use. The quick autofocus locks onto subjects with precision, and the tracking is reliable even in challenging conditions, is a beast when it comes to high-speed frame capture, which makes it a dream for action shots. Its excellent low-light performance delivers clean, vibrant images at high ISOs, perfect for night photography or dimly lit events. The dual slots with CF allows for fast writes and the Z6 III also feels solid, has familiar controls, and 6K video capabilities, making it a versatile tool for both photographers and videographers. While it’s not perfect—battery life could be better—it’s a powerhouse that justifies its price tag for enthusiasts and pros.

    Better Than Expected

Posted by Michael Hitzelberger on November 20, 2025

Coming from a D7100 and a D40 before that, the Z6III is an outstanding leap forward. Intending to get a full size sensor some day I was using FX lenses on the D7100, these work well with the FTZ II mount adapter. Much improvement with image quality, focusing capability, the sensor stabilization, usable ISO range, modern wireless features, rear display tilt. It's to another level. A good crop-sensor DSLR is still capable in many situations but the Z6III ups the possibilities significantly. The learning curve isn't bad, especially with online support and AI. Less need for tripods and flash. Also it has an exterior interface on par with the D7100. Less expensive Z cameras have less exterior buttons dials and screens perhaps due to the advent of digital touch screens and a push for size reduction. The Z6III includes a digital info screen on top and 2 command dials. The 50mm Z Nikkor is excellent with it. That and the Z6III body have sales. The only stuff I didn't like, when you save settings to U1 U2 U3, you are stuck with Exposure Mode like Aperture Shutter Manual mode that you initially saved. So if you made a whole bunch of specialized settings and you saved them to U1 and you were in Manual mode, and you want to switch U1 to Shutter Priority it's not possible in a single menu click followed by resaving settings. For U1 U2 U3 on the dial you must begin with the Exposure Mode wanted. It's only an inconvenience included here because Nikon tells you to include what you didn't like. Highly Recommended.

    Old Marine Photographer

Posted by Jack Barton on November 19, 2025

This new Z6III is a little daunting for me as I’m 76 years old. I’ve used these cameras for over 60 years, from the rice patties of Vietnam Shooting 35mm film to my great granddaughter’s birthday party using this latest iteration….for me It’s a feeling of friendship and dependability. I’ve had and used other brands, ie. Topcon, NikonSekor, Minalta, Pentax, Cannon, etc….and some are excellent to outstanding….but these cameras are legendary for combat photography……young people can take pics of flying skateboards…etc…and that’s fine…...but when it really matters…in the mud and rain and cold…I’ve always reached for my Nikon and it’s never let me down…..take the word of an old Marine combat photographer…..that you cant go wrong with Nikon, especially the new ones.

    Truly amazing camera

Posted by Mark B Evans on November 17, 2025

Beautiful camera. I purchased this camera to be a compliment to my Z9. With its autofocus capabilities, dual mode shutter, amazing in-body stabilization, low light performance and excellent price point, it is an incredible camera and a great value. I have been very impressed by its low light, hand held, performance.

    Z6IIi intermittent problem.

Posted by Jim Tibesar on November 6, 2025

I purchased the Z6III as a travel camera and a backup for my Z9. Basically I’m pleased with the camera but on a recent trip to France the monitor went black after a few days and I had to look through the viewfinder to adjust the menu or review photos. That’s really a pain. I communicated with Nikon and tried their dugout could solve it and ended up using my I phone the second week. Of course when I got home and turned it on to call Nikon and work out the problem it worked. Very frustrating to have an intermittent problem.

I am like a child again with the Nikon 6iii

Posted by Troy Tripamer on October 27, 2025

Photography has taken on a new light with the Nikon 6iii. I have had so many Nikons over my 87 years but none have impressed me like the 6 Mark 3 firmware 2.0. It is like using a camera for the first time with all its new features and abilities. To start to describe them is difficult as I don't know where to start. But stabilization is a good one. When putting a S series lens on this camera I can't get over how great these photos are.

    A Work of Art

Posted by Jerry Sattin on October 27, 2025

An incredible camera. Don’t know where to begin to sing its praises so let’s begin with its handling, its gorgeous screen and viewfinder, its precise focusing, its low light capabilities, its stabilization- which allows you to handhold at very low shutter speeds. It could use a couple more pixels but frankly, I haven’t found any loss in resolution the way it is. It’s really a gorgeous camera.
