Z TELECONVERTER TC-1.4x

I own the f version of this teleconverter as well and there is little comparison. I shot birds all day with the TC 1.4z on my 100-400mm z and really could not tell I had a teleconverter on other than the magnification. A great product.

I've used the Z TC 1.4x teleconverter on the Z 70-200 2.8S and the Z 800 6.3S and, other than the mandatory one stop of light loss, I've not found any loss of performance. It is definitely a cut above the F-mount TC. It goes with me when I carry either of the above mentioned lens.

I love the images I am getting with the Z TELECONVERTER TC-1.4x. I am using it with Z6ii and NIKKOR Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S lens mostly for birding. It is giving me that extra reach I was hoping for.

Great teleconverter! Works perfectly with the Z9 and my new Nikkor Z 800mm PF. Auto-focus works as fast as the lens alone. image quality is fantastic. .

I used a 1.4 TC with my D500 and 80-400mm Nikon lens. This seems similar. It worked well in the back yard with a Great Blue Heron which was 150 - 200 feet away in full sun with my Z 100-400 and Z8. With the temperatures in the 90s, I waiting to take it to the Everglades to see how I do with less light on my new Z8. I used handheld sitting in a chair with support arm's elbow on the arm of the chair. In the swamp, I will have to use my class 3 tripod with Wimberly Gimbal head and Nikon's wireless remote which I also used with the D500.

I bought the Z TC 1.4 because I wanted to extend the range of my Z 100-400 but I also was concerned about losing imagine quality! I'm so happy to say Nikon hit a homerun with the Z TC 1.4! I got my extended range and was able to keep the exceptional image quality of my Z100-400!

Adding only one stop with extra reach has allowed me to capture more wildlife photos than previosouly with my Z 70-200 and Z 100-400 on a Z 9. Autofocus responds quickly and results are sharp. Compact and lightweight, easy to attach and remove. Pleased with the purchase.

I have been using Nikon camera's since 1976 and this is the best Teleconverter I have used.

I use this TC with my 400mm f/4.5 on my Nikon Z7. That gives me a 560mm f/6.3. The differences between with and without TC is so negligible that the TC is now welded to my lens. I would only take it of when I am to close to the subject or when I need more light. Which has not happened yet. The Z lenses are just amazing, which is the main reason why I switched from DSLR to the Mirrorless. Over the last 20 years I had 3 AF-S 500mm f/4 and quite often used the TC 1.4 II. But this setup just blows it away.
