    Works as expected

I've used the lens with my 100-400mm zoom on the Z7II for two bird outings. Image quality, as expected, has been great and I appreciate the longer "reach".

    Worth the Cost!

I really am enjoying this Z1.4 tele on my Z6iii with the amazing Z100-400 S lens. Just a little extra boost to my range when I need it without putting me into lose of details or worry about extra grain. Would highly recommend you purchase one of these.

    Retains very good image quality.

Use it with Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S; have also tried it with Z 180-600 f/5.6-6.3 VR and Z 70-180 f/2.8. Retains very good image quality with all these lenses. Very solid connections; no wobble when carrying lens-converter-body combination by lens foot (or lens alone with the 70-180). Very satisfied.

Adds much detail to distant objects, especially wildlife.

This is an outstanding product. Hooked up to the 180-600 zoom, I'm getting impressively sharp photos and sacrificing only one f stop. I see no signs of distortion at all from the extra glass. Highly recommended, particularly for wildlife.

    Great teleconverter

Posted by Tim Williams on June 3, 2024

I photograph wildlife, mostly birds. Using the Z6-2 with Z 1.4 tele attached to Z400 f4.5. Before having the Z400, my go to lens was a F mount 300 f4 with 1.4 TCII attached to the Z6-2 with FTZII adapter. I did get very good photos (sharp) with F mount set-up, but the keeper rate was much lower compared to the Z mount set-up. Not only is the keeper rate higher, but the photos are sharper with the Z mount set-up. I would say that the teleconverter is attached to the Z400 lens 80%-90% of the time. Attached photo of Cooper's hawk taken with the F mount set-up. Also attached two photos taken with the Z mount set-up. Cardinal and Warbler.

    Functions as expected.

I use it with my Z100-400 zoom and the extra reach is wonderful. I've noticed the autofocus is a just a tad slower to catch but am adapting.

I use it with my Z 180-600 lens

Posted by David Lawrance on March 28, 2024

I'm at last able to get the shots I've dreamed of. I was worried that adding a teleconverter to my 180-600 lens would make shooting birds in flight at dawn impossible, but autofocus works fine, even at lower light levels.
