    Brilliant!

Added the Z9 to my lineup two weeks ago, thrilled with it so far. Arrived from Nikon only a week before departing on a month-long trip to the UK, wasn't sure I'd take it or my D850. After just a few days, decided the Z9 would go on the trip. At home I shoot a lot of skydiving, focus has been spot on. I can see adding a second as a back-up in the future.

    Amazing camera

My first set of photos of an officer chasing and catching a chicken went viral. LOLAbout the camera tho, I couldn’t be happier. Electronics seem smooth and fast. Ergonomics are awesome. I only wish I had a second one for my long glass.

    You'll be glad you did.

Hesitated but glad I didn't wait any longer. Amazing results. 3D tracking is phenomenal for tennis. For other sports like soccer, volleyball and football the standard single dot still seems best. I don't like the length of time it takes for the camera to "wake up" after sitting idle for a few moments. The 1-2 second delay as it wakes up has cost me some shots where the DSLR's are immediately available for use. I've talked with other photogs on the sidelines using them and they have the same feeling about that. Beyond that, this camera is superb so far. There hasn't been any serious learning curve switching from the D5, D850, D500 DSLR's to the mirrorless Z9 other than location of buttons and some settings but I'm finding even the different location of buttons are user friendly after you get use to them. The standard battery lasts long enough for me getting about 2 sporting events (4-5 hours shooting) out of a charge.

    World Best Mirrorless Camera Z9

Posted by LALIT PATEL on September 15, 2023

I started with Nikon F3 upgraded to F4 to F5, then D100,D200,D300 to D2x to D3, D4, Then Z6 now Z9. For the world Travelers like me, the Z9 with new Z lenses is much lighter to carry. Best for wildlife photography and wedding photography. .

The best camera I’ve used so far.

I switch from a d600 with a battery grip to the full body z9. The full body feels better when holding it with all the buttons in the correct location. There are a lot more options to learn about. The biggest thing for me to get used to is the shutter is a lot more sensitive.

    Low light champ

Been behind a camera for most of my life. I just got into sports photography. The Z7 is a great camera but the noise looks bad in low light. The Z9 has noise but it looks pleasing. No regrets in buying the Z9.

My awesome Z9 that replaced my awesome D850.

Posted by ALBERT GARCIA on August 23, 2023

I’ve had my Z9 for two weeks now. When I decided to transition from my Nikon DSLR 850 to a mirrorless camera, I knew I had to get something as good or better than what I had. After watching countless videos online and some firsthand experience with other individuals and their mirrorless cameras I settled on the Z9. My Nikon D850 is an excellent camera and I have taken it on many safaris and countless trips. My Nikon Z9 on the other hand is truly amazing. The best part about the camera is its video feature. Yes, it takes excellent pictures, but the video is the one thing that my D850 lacked. I continue to watch videos on the setup and usage of the Z9 which seems to be endless. I am very happy with my purchased and this will truly be my last camera for a long time. (I said the same thing about my D850)

    Everything I ever wanted.

My Z9 is 12 days old and after two shoots, I am must say that the term 'Flagship' is appropriate. I love the feel and access to menus. It's hefty, but I would expect that from a machine like this. Focus and focus options don't make me miss my 850 or Z7-II. I know that there are many online resources, but I miss getting a real manual with a camera. Make sure to go through the setup procedures. Two shoots done and I am so pleased.
