    Outstanding Upgrade

Posted by Dean Fetterolf on June 14, 2023

I went from a D700 to an incredible D850 waiting for the Z8. The Z8 far exceeds my expectations. The colors are incredible. But the IBIS and low noise are incredible. I've shot handheld at 1/10th sec at ISO 3200.

    Mirrorless D850+

Posted by Craig Green on June 14, 2023

Hard to let go of my D850 but the Z8 is the mirrorless replacement I was hoping for. It is more customizable and I love having so much of the viewfinder available for focus points. The autofocus is improved as well.

Z8 is a winner for me.!!

Posted by Arcangelo Sorvillo on June 14, 2023

Coming from a D500, am loving my new Z8. Easy to set up and a great camera for my style of photography. Only thing is the battery life. But I knew that going in.

    Another Awesome Camera from Nikon!

Posted by MARK MCKEOWN on June 14, 2023

It's a superb camera! It fixes things I didn't love about my Z7 - primarily the black screen when shooting action shots, higher burst frame rates, and a second card slot.It keeps a smaller body size, which is great. The option of having a battery grip is perfect. I don't usually need one so not having it built into the camera body is better for me. What I'm not crazy about - the second card slot being SD. SD cards are so slow, writing to them while you're shooting with raw files this large is just slowing the camera down and you lose the advantage of the CFX slot. I would like to have a second CFX slot but I know there's a size issue there so it's a tradeoff.

Fantastic addition to the Nikon Mirrorless line of cameras!

Posted by Mike Flanagan on June 14, 2023

I was very surprised when I got the call that a Z8 had arrived for me at my local Nikon dealership, Mike's Camera. The camera's capabilities are amazing and it will take a while to get used to all the features. Fortunately, due to the similarities to the Z9, there are many very experienced users, that have refined their use of the Z9. Hudson Henry is one of the best at sharing his skills and knowledge and efficiency with the setup of all of the options. We have a couple of Hummingbirds in our back yard, and the C30, C60, and C120 imaging with the Pre-Record Buffer are such a useful feature that is so well designed and useful. I've also used the C30 to catch squirrels as they jump across a large gap in the backyard. The Z8 is larger and heavier than my Z7 and Z50, but not so much that it is a burden to use.

    Z8 is near perfect!

Posted by Robert Timmel on June 14, 2023

As Z7 & Z7ii user I really appreciate the size and incredible improvement in autofocus on my new Z8! Do still hope that Nikon will continue to improve autofocus on the Z7ii even if it never can approach the level found on Z8 & Z9.

    magnificent!

Posted by Carlos Ramirez on June 14, 2023

Long story short, I've been a photographer for 30 years and I've never liked a camera as much as I've liked this camera and I wasn't too excited to buy it, it was a gratifying surprise.

Everything about the Z8 makes this camera an absolute must-have for any full-time pro. Best Nikon I have had my hands on since the D850.
