Fantastic and Functional
Posted by Vic Holmes on December 16, 2023
I rarely replace cameras but once every 5 years, but this replacement was exceptional! I was able to keep my previous optics and add new mirrorless ones without a fuss. This is definitely a great investment. I hear other say they had a drop in clarity with the adaptor ring, but I compare ring to ringless and the clarity and color are identical.

Wowza!

Upgraded from the Z6II to the Z8 and it is night and day! There was a learning curve for sure but the camera's performance is well worth it :-)

Good performance
Posted by Omar Jose Rosa Cardoso on December 15, 2023
I bought my Z8 to upgrade my D850. It was a big deal. Excellent performance with the Z 24-120 f 4 and my old lenses 14-24 2.8 35 1.4 85 1.4 ISO quality in the board of scale surprised me. The only good improvement will be the GPS on board.

I think I bought my last camera Z8.
Posted by Monte Lowe on December 14, 2023
I have been using Nikon for several decades(film and digital). My first step into Nikon digital was a D70, then D700 and then the D810. It was easy to stay with Nikon when the mirrorless came out. My first step was the Z6ll. I really have enjoyed going mirrorless, it really made photography fun again. I am not normally one to switch cameras but after reading about the Z8, I had to give it a try. My excitement for this camera is unbelievable. I love the feel in my hand. The setup was easy and the focus is fantastic. I photograph animals for our shelter and their quick movements are really tough to catch in focus. This makes it almost childs play. I am very happy that I made the purchase.

I traded down to the Z8 and haven't looked back.
Posted by Chuck Estes on December 10, 2023
So okay I'll be the odd man out here... I had the Z9 and it just didn't feel natural in my hands. I moved from the D850 to the Z9 and just loved the D850. So the Z8 is a perfect fit for me all the brains and brawn of the Z9 with have the frame and weight. It checks all my boxes. The one thing I loved about the top of the line Z series is that so much can and is changed with just a free firmware update.. This is unheard of until now. Because I came from the D850 I have many of the "F" series glass so the need for the FTZ II was also needed and the Z8 doesn't seem hampered by its use. I'm very happy with my choice and this will be my go to for some time..

power z cameras
Posted by The Rican The Rican on December 10, 2023
I like the feel of the Z8 in my hand. took some pictures with it. I am new to Nikon. I am a canon ma, but I think I am going to switch to the Nikon cameras and lens. I also bought the z 6ii and I am in love with it. got really great flying and perching shots with my new Nikon 180-600mm lens.

So far so good
Posted by Gorman Findley on December 9, 2023
So Far So good. Owned for 2 weeks and its operated as expected during that time. Very fast focus and super high fps. Still getting used to the placement of the buttons that are different from my D500. Miss the visual view of some buttons that are now under menus.
