    Love my Z7ii!

Posted by Richard Brewer on July 20, 2022

Absolutely love my Z7ii! As primarily a landscape photographer it is the perfect camera. Great sensor, great live view, and sharp focusing options. Interval timer, multiple exposure options, focus blending, etc.etc.etc give me endless options for straight landscape or more creative artistic imaging as well.

The Z 7II exceeded my expectations.

Posted by DAVID BESS on July 20, 2022

I really had doubts moving moving from a DSLR to mirrorless, but I knew the benefits were too much to ignore. I was looking for a replacement for my D850 and the Z 7II had all the features that I was looking for. I was not disappointed! A great camera that has exceeded all my expectations. The performance is excellent and the image quality is what you would expect from a high-end camera. It is my go-to for both my professional and personal work. I especially appreciate the dynamic range and improved eye-detection AF.

    Love Mirrorless

Posted by PHILIP KRAMER on July 20, 2022

With the acquisition of my Z7 II, I have pretty much completed my transition to mirrorless. I began with the Z7 when it came out. At the time, I sold my D600 and kept my D810, so I had a hybrid. As Nikon expanded their Z mount lens line, I began to sell of some of my F mount lenses and replace them with Z mounts. The release of the Z7 II enabled me to sell my D810. I love the mirrorless cameras. When I travel with two bodies and multiple lenses, the weight difference is evident. The Z mount lenses are sharper than their F counterparts. The Z cameras with their IBIS enables me to handhold at a much slower shutter speed. The easy of changing settings on the Z cameras with the customizable "i" menu is a great tool.

Z 7 II is up to the challenge

Posted by Barbara Tierney on July 20, 2022

The Z 7 II is the replacement for my D750 (that died a tragic death) and it far outperforms the D750. The mirrorless function is fantastic and getting the optimal settings is easy. The Z 7 Ii is light, it’s fast and it is up to the toughest challenges.

    Z 7ii

Posted by Don Bergeron on July 20, 2022

Currently using the z7ii for multiple genre's.With the 24-200, 14-30 and 85mm prime it has delivered for all the uses that I've been challenged with.Just now have been experiencing the close up tubes, but have no notable usage of them yet.Looking forward to my first road trip with this set up, and believe that current camera and lense configuration should cover 99 percent of everything that I encounter.

    Switched from D850 to Z 7II

Posted by RICHARD VANDEPOLL on July 20, 2022

Needs FW update to improve focus tracking, take bird pictures and will not maintain tracking after a bit. Also found that it will not maintain the selection of display (Viewfinder vs Monitor, and does not work with Auto select between VF and Monitor), this is annoying when I'm tracking birds between Monitor and VF.Pictures out of camera are great, previous camera is a D850, now tend to use Z 7II more.

    Amazing camera

Posted by Philip Hayes on July 20, 2022

My Nikon Z7ii is my go to camera for capturing the moment. With it’s stunning detail, sharpness and excellent colours right out of the camera. The light weight and effortless operation make it a joy to carry. It has never let me down or failed to perform regardless of weather. It is an amazing camera that exceeds my expectations.

The Z7II was worth the wait

Posted by Tanya Lillie on July 20, 2022

I waited over six months for the Z7II and I am happy to say that it was worth the wait. I have owned Nikon's D300, D610 and what I thought would be my last camera the D850. Not to mention the number of Nikon camera's I purchased for student use in the Digital and Multimedia courses I taught through the years (now retired). After breaking my wrist in multiple places, the D850 was getting two much for me to hand hold, so I decide to purchase a the Z7II, which produces the same 45 MP images as the D850, but is enough lighter that I can hand hold it. I purchased John Greengo's web class on the ZII and it was an excellent way to make the shift to the mirrorless camera. The Z7II meets all my needs as a landscape photographer, as well as the photos I shoot of family and friends. My budget only allowed me to purchase the 24-70 Kit Lens and Ftz adapter. My only complaint is that with the Ftz adapter, the auto focus on many of my lenses is very slow to focus and in some cases doesn't work.

A superb camera that is a delight to use but has some slightly annoying flaws.

Posted by Peter Jackson on July 20, 2022

This camera is a delight to use and produces, once set up correctly, extremely high quality photographs and short videos. This Nikon was my 4th attempt at using Nikon as my photographic tool of choice, being a long time Canon shooter and deciding that both the size and cost of the Canon gear was getting excessive. I had owned an F100, D90 (film era), Z7 and now a Z7II. In the past I had ended up going back to Canon but the Z7 and Z7II hooked me and I now use the Z7II as one of my cameras made up of the Nikon Z7II, Canon R5 and Sony A7RIVa. Pros:1. Size and handling. Good smaller size and reasonable weight. I do not like large cameras.2. Excellent quality and reasonably priced lenses although limited to Nikon manufacture.3. Well organized and easy to use menus with touch screen interface (see caveat below).4. Excellent out of camera JPGs with nice color and excellent detail.5. Excellent RAW images with superb lowlight detail.6. Excellent resolution with picture sizes that are not too large for processing.7. Effective IBIS8. High quality body which feels very good in the hand.9. Gets out of the way (most of the time) and allows you just to take pictures.10. Easy to use and functional Nikon mobile app. It just works which is very rare in this market.11. Excellent documentation.Cons:1. Auto focus a little tricky to keep on the subject at times. Tends to lose focus when subject moves rapidly or temporarily turns away. Sony and Canon are better in this regard.2. Some odd quirks in setup that make it more difficult than it should be to get the camera setup as you need e.g. Auto focus is more awkward to setup than it should be.3. Rear monitor only flips out rather than being fully articulated. Vertical shooting more difficult.4. Lack of a reasonably priced f/4 tele zoom (70 to 200) that take advantage of the light weight and size of this camera. Wide angle option and excellent 24 - 120 help but no reasonably priced tele zooms in the Z S or Z range.5. Interface not licensed to 3rd party lens manufacturers that limits choice of reasonably priced lenses.6. No reasonably priced bluetooth remote control option (all the others have a reasonably priced remote control that works via BT, I could not find a Nikon option for this function and had to buy a more complex 3rd party option).Summary:A camera I love and will be keeping for a long time. Now I would like the Z9 in a Z7 package size!!
