Great image quality. Smart features and I love all the customization flexibility.I also love the light weight of the camera. My biggest complaint is the very limitedarticulation of the rear LCD screen. I wish it could turn all the way around to protect it when not in use.

My previous camera of choice is a Nikon D-850 and I liked it enough that I kept it after buying the Nikon Z7ii. Image quality is basically the same as the D-850, really good. As i'm getting older, the reduced weight and size is really welcome. I don't often shoot continuously multiple frames/second, but on the occasion that I do, the larger buffer is a great help. I was initially a bit disappointed in in autofocusing capability as I didn't feel that the focusing system was much if any improvement than the D850 after buying the camera a year ago, but the firmware update made a significant improvement in that capability. Overall, I've been very happy with the camera and was amazed at the sharpness of the kit 24-70mm f4 lens. I've since bought the 20mm and 14-24mm lenses and am very happy with both of those lenses on my Z7ii.

The Z7II is a great little camera ( little only in size and weight compared to my D5 ). I wanted a Z9 but they were not available so I settled for the 7II. Turns out that was a great move, already preparing to buy a second 7II body.

Excellent for all but high action, hence the 4/5 stars. Image quality is fantastic, but the autofocus is a struggle even after the latest firmware update. I go back to either a D5 or D850 when shooting action.

As a longtime Nikon user and fan of all the DX pro bodies and the D500 is one of my favorites.I love the images and glass from my Z7II and especially the 24-120F4S. They offer great value, but the AF-C, tracking, and limited customization bring the experience down quite a bit. AF-C can drift, show that your item is tracked, and not be in focus. Saving ALL settings to user modes, and having a few more user modes would REALLY help. Or the ability to switch to the banks. You still have to leave one bank empty to restore to.Nikon only lets you remap 4-15 options to a custom button, and only a few buttons can be customized. I can't even setup my Z50 and Z7II to match, or even match my Nikon DSLR's I've used for years.I'm really hoping to see a few Z9 features in Firmware 2.x which is WAY overdue.

Coming from the D810, the z7ii is definitely an upgrade! There are a few point that really ruin the experience though. 1. Low light focusing is a disaster. I don’t mean in a dark room- I photograph in studio and if my modeling light isn’t on the highest power in addition to a bit of overhead light, I will miss focus on a majority of shots. 2. Eye focus/ tracking. I’d say it’s 50/50 hit or miss. That’s bad with fast moving kids. 3. Too easy to mistakenly hit the icon on the screen that switches between using the screen to touch focus and shoot. There are times it gets mistakenly touched and next thing I know there are random shots being taken time the screen gets randomly touched. Between points 1 & 2, I would switch to another brand if I wasn’t so invested in Nikon with all my lenses and other gear. Those 2 points are really unacceptable for a professional grade camera at this price point. In short, it’s better than my old DSLRs, but poor in comparison to the mirrorless market.

The Z7ii is an upgrade from my beloved D750. I am an amateur and I have invested in Nikon products for several years. I appreciate many things about the Z7ii: the ability to use my existing lenses, the image quality, video capabilities and the autofocus (and hopefully future improvements). I recently took a cross-country camping trip and visited many national parks, the landscape images were really nice. It has helped me improve my images of people and wildlife. The video function is world's apart from the D750 and I have barely tapped its' potential. Another sizable investment for my hobby but definitely worthwhile.

I've had virtually every Nikon camera since the D200 - exception the Z50. The Z7II is the best landscape camera I have owned - including the Leica Q2. Light weight - flawless operation and superb weather resistant (used in volcanic and very moist environments). I piggyback my Z9 now with the Z7II.

As a Nikon user for a number years from before the digital age. This iteration has held to the high level of quality and design Nikon has demonstrated for years. Light and easy to use with high quality images and video capabilities. Thank you Nikon .
