    Landscape camera

Posted by JOE D. on September 1, 2025

Bought a Z7ii to use for landscape. Nice compact size compared to my Z8. Miss the sensor shield on my Z8s though. Also have to get use to different button locations: review button is on top left not bottom left on Z8. Still learning set up options.

    Good but not so good

Posted by Surajit M. on August 17, 2025

Picture quality good but significant issues are there with the camera. 1. There are heating issues with the phone. It becomes significantly hot even after capturing 5 minutes of still photography.2. Videos are bad. Most of the time video autofocus doesn’t work. 3. Lowlight performance is just intolerable. ISO 1000 produces significant color grain. 4. Batteries are weak at this price point. At least 3 spare batteries need to keep for a day. 5. Look small but it has weight

    Love the 7ii

Posted by Mike F. on August 11, 2025

I'm very pleased with the 7ii. I bought one for my spouse and one for myself. Then I purchased two different lenses, 28-120 versus 28-200. I have taken quite a few photos over the last two weeks in various situations with no issues. I mainly photograph buildings, places, and a limited number of people. No wildlife. YouTube is loaded with quality videos on setting it up and how to edit in Lightroom. I looked at a few other cameras, but nothing beat the 46 megapixels offered in this model.

    Z7II + Plena = AMAZING IMAGE QUALITY

    Posted by JPrice001 on July 22, 2025

My first Z platform Nikon…..amazing piece of equipment..! I’ve had Nikon DSLRs over the years….decided on the Z7II for now until the Z9II is available. Also picked up the Plena to pair with the Z7II….stunning images…worth every penny..!

The Nikon Z7ii performance was better than expected for the price.

Posted by John M. on July 6, 2025

I bought my Nikon Z 7ii as a backup camera for my Nikon Z8. I do mostly wildlife photography and have really enjoyed my Z8 but wanted to have a less expensive mirrorless camera as a backup on trips. I purchased it recently and have only taken about 500 pictures with it using a 200 - 500 Nikon zoom telephoto. I was pleasantly surprised with the camera's performance. The pictures were very sharp, even at a longer distance. The camera was easy to setup and use as it is very similar to the Z8 in many ways. It will make a great backup camera for trips where you can't afford the loss of your camera. At this time I have no complaints regarding the camera, in fact it has performed better than I expected.

    Love A Nikon

    Posted by RickM2 on July 1, 2025

I bought the Z7II when I decided to upgrade from the D5600. Initially I was looking at the D850, but after doing a little bit of research I decided to go to a Mirrorless camera. I chose the Z7II because of the 45.7 MP resolution and the lighter weight. I am so happy I did. I am still learning about it's capabilities. Also using my old lenses with the FTZ II adapter is great. The pictures produced with the FTZ II adapter are very good.
