This Z5 is my second Nikon Mirrorless having bought a Z50 earlier. Both these cameras are outstanding deals at their price point. I still have my D500 which I will never give up for shooting wildlife. I have also used the new Z5 with the adapter and my Nikon 200/500mm zoom and it works great. I absolutely haven't a complaint on the capabilities of this Z5 full frame camera. Auto focus is spot on. The 24/70mm F4 is super sharp on the Z5. I also have used the Nikon Z 50mm f1.8 and it totally rocks on this camera. The built in Ibis alone in this camera is a great package addition. The only thing I added on the Z5 is a Speedlight. This camera is a keeper and at a price point anyone can switch to full frame. Nikon has a real winner here. Please note The Z50 is also a wonderful travel camera. Small, light plus the two native kit VR lenses are fantastic and super sharp and all you would need for most situations when you want to go light while on the road. I am keeping them both because they fit a major nitch in my photography want list. Nikon has always been a bright spot in my day.

There is so much to like in this camera. Its size, versatility and functionality to list only a few. One of its best features is that it uses the Z mount lenses. This last feature opens the door to it doing so many things well.

It’s a great camera for the price. The Z lenses are expensive, but F-mount works just fine on it. I shot a wedding with it as soon as I got it and had no issues. I think my Z6 may have slightly better image quality, but the difference is minimal. It’s definitely a step up from the d750 I used to shoot with (which was a fantastic camera).

This camera gets 4.5 starts from me. I am a D750 user. This camera has everything that D750 users want but I really miss the top LCD. I would have kept that primitives looking digital LCD to keep the cost down. Low light AF is not as great as D750 but you can live with it (specially with adapted lenses). Eye autofocus and senor VR are addictive. It has just enhanced my workflow. at 70mm, I can take good portraits at 1/40. On my D750 I never wanted to go below 1/125. Now I can use my brain more for composing the shot rather than dealing with camera to put the AF point on the eye, etc. Video quality is also great. But this camera seems to be for someone for whom video is a primary thing. Battery life is really good. I can shoot throughout day (around 800 clicks). Build quality is all Nikon. The price point that it is sold today is an incentive to switch from DSLR to Mirrorless. Thank you Nikon!

This camera punches way above it's price tag, it feels awesome in the hands, the evf is amazing, the lcd screen is great. The camera boots up fast and the auto focus works well in everything but very low light is where you'll see this camera show some weakness. I do believe that it can be made better in a firmware update. Sure the video isn't some top of the line 4k 60fps, but whatever, the 1080p 60fps in this camera is beautiful, the IBIS is amazing, and the photos it takes are just fantastic.
