Z 5

I love the Z5 I have used a DX camera for years this is such an up grade. I got the body and FTZ adapter and am using my FX lens until I can buy a Z lens. Like I said I love this camera. I am still learning how to us it every day.

A great camera to carry in combination with the 24-200 lens. Easy to use and the settings and controls are the same as the Z7 and Z6.When flying for work i carry it in my computer bag leaving my Z6 and Z7 at home.

I had been wanting to move from a cropped to full frame camera for a long time, but the bodies were always expensive, larger than desired, and heavy. The Z5 is an affordable full frame camera, in a relatively compact body that performs very well. It is portable enough that I can stow it in my motorcycle saddle back and even take a spare lens with me, which means I get much more use of out if than a larger, less portable camera. The connectivity to my iphone is much improved over the app that my old DSLR used, which makes it very easy to upload and publish photos on the go.

The steep learning cube was helped by watching Back Country Photography on You Tube. I improved my shots immediately. I was stepping up from a 1” so the results are dramatically better. This camera is a great deal.

Nice camera with nice lense - the 24-200.Just wish the 200-600 was available…..but it appears to be a long ways off….if at all available.Great feel in hand……weight.Menu easy to use and screen is bright.

Sold my D500 and got the Z5 on sale to get acquainted with mirrorless. I enjoy the multiple focus points which my D850 doesn't have. It can stack images like the D850 and can peak focus too. Got the 14-30 F4 lens which is a good combo for landscape but had to lay out some more coin for 82mm filters. Converted the camera with LifePixel so that I can do normal daylight shots and infrared color or B&W with external filters(and Photoshop work). Battery life is only fair when compared to DSLRs, so carrying the FTZ adapter and extra batteries offsets the weight advantage. This is currently my backup camera to my D850 and as configured gives me another dimension of photography.

Great camera. It's very sharp. The color is right.I was unsure about the electronic viewfinder; however, I find that I can tell when a photo is going to have blown out highlights and make adjustments before I shoot. The DSLR doesn't give me that. The iMenu is very cool - and easy to customize.I use the 24-200 mm lens and I'm ready for a wide range of shooting situations.

Glad Nikon came out with a full frame camera with features at a reasonable price. Excellent menu system. Love the grip & wt. of the camera. As I'm a stills shooter & don't care about video this camera blows away the competition in this area. Image stabilization in camera is excellent & a great feature to have. Right now I am using the 24-70 f4s & 85 f1.8s which are unbelievable on this camera.

I love it. I purchased it as a backup to my Z 6 and I haven’t skipped a beat. It’s a great workhorse of a camera with amazing quality. You can’t beat the price! Great value, highly recommend!
