NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR

I'll admit, I was not expecting much as I have never purchased "kit" packages before. I shoot mostly the D850 and primes. I was beyond surprised at the sharpness, contrast and color of this lens. If you have this package or lens, go out and use it, you won't be disappointed.

Used with my Z50 and I am absolutely happy with this lens. It is sharp and the minimum focus range coupled with the Z50 is great for closeups.

Compact, lightweight and very sharp. A very good match for the Z50. Images can be cropped way down when necessary and still retain detail and sharpness. Very impressive. Especially impressive considering the price when included in the Z50 2 lens kit.

The DX 50-250 mm lens on the Z50 body makes for an outstanding pair for a truly great walk-around solution. Add the DX 16-50 mm lens and most common image capture scenarios are covered. The Z50 kit lenses are very sharp and light weight. I often shoot in after-sunset low light situations and find both lenses on the Z50 to be surprisingly good. The DX 50-250 mm lens provides plenty of reach in a compact format. Since purchasing the Z50 + two kit lenses I have not shot with my D750 + 24-120 mm, simply due to the size and weight advantage of the Z50 with comparable image quality to a full-frame DSLR.

I took this lens with me to Tuscany over 1 year ago and used it for the whole trip. It was light and compact while allowing me to zoom in for detail. I am pleased with the sharpness of the lens. I do landscape and photos of details such as flowers or sculpted design for the most part. It is nice to have a camera and lens that is light to carry and well balanced for shooting handheld.I can use it on both my Z50 and Z6 camera bodies, too.

Great overall lens, great resolution

For a kit lens, the DX 50-250mm is extremely versatile! This lens is a perfect pairing with the Z 50. Though it is a bit slow, but for the price point it is perfect. Not the sharpest lens, and the bokeh can be a little weird at times, but again, very good for the price point. For an everyday walk about and general wildlife lens, it is perfect.

I am astonished by this lens´s optical quality that is equal to my Nikon professional mid-range telephoto lenses. See the attached six photos taken with this lens, with little or no enhancing.
