    I already owned the DX 85mm prime f/1.4 for my D7000, which quickly became my favorite lens when shooting the grandkids in action, and didn´t expect to find any significant difference with this Z S-Line 85mm f/1.8 for my new Z7; so I was shocked by the improvement in clarity, speed, and especially native sharpness this new lens had over the previous one. Highly recommended!!

    Excellent Short Telephoto Lens

    This lens benefits from the superior optical quality and design of the new Nikon Z system. Images have super sharpness, contrast, color rendition, and corner to corner exposure uniformity. The f/1.8 aperture makes for great portraits. When critically photocopying artwork, the absence of vertical and horizontal distortion makes one´s job easy. This lens is superb for many uses in addition to people pictures. When used properly, it will greatly mitigate post-processing needs.
