    Awesome lens.

Posted by Will Stattman on July 15, 2021

This is the best 70-200 out there. It’s an improvement over the F mount version as well as the Sony and Canon equivalents. Insane sharpness and out of focus areas are beautiful. All my other lenses have been feeling neglected since I got it.

    Great for almost anything

Posted by BENJAMIN RICHARD on July 5, 2021

I updated from the superb and reliable F mount version to this one to shoot weddings, portraits, and marathons with my Z cams. It's a versatile workhouse that focuses fast, renders beautiful images, and feels well balanced with the Z6II and vertical grip. The only negative is that my copy arrived with the four tiny screws loose that secure the collar's tripod mount. If I hadn't noticed it out of the box, it would've eventually fallen from my camera strap or monopod. I secured the screws with a precision screwdriver, and all's well. Otherwise, the lens is an amazing tool that I look forward to using for work or chronicling all the sports and school activities my kids find themselves in. It's probably the best zoom lens I've ever used - just flawless f/2.8 glass!

    Excellent lens with Z-7ii...

Posted by Jeffrey w Jackson on June 23, 2021

Still working with the 70-200mm 2.8 and Z-7ii with x2 teleconverter...I like most of the shots...still struggle with birds in flight...but this lens meets most of my needs...I plan to take this on safari in August as opposed to the f-mount 70-200. I will take my D850 with the Nikon 500mm along, too...No real complaints...still working with the A/F system however...

    It's the best

Posted by Bill Goff on May 17, 2021

My first images were just amazing in clarity and sharpness. I was really taken aback. I had used a third party lens on my D810 that I was never satisfied with and balked at this one's price. I jumped in after reading some reviews and glad I did.

Brilliant, Class-defining Glass with Perfect Bokeh

Posted by Lukas Clark on May 16, 2021

Fantastic lens, enabling fantastic new realms of detailed telephoto images with gorgeous bokeh, in low light with the intense color that Nikon is famous for! The perfection of this lens has fundamentally transformed my motivation to get out and find those precious moments waiting to be captured in their stunning splendor! The 2.0x Teleconverter works fabulously with it as well. This lens does not disappoint. My only caveat is that my Z6 may not always keep up with it when it comes to fast moving subjects, so it is probably ideally paired with a Z6II or a Z7II, though I am pleasantly surprised by the expansion of my photography envelope with this singular addition to my gear. Game-changing!

    Wow! What can I say! It's the best 70-200 2.8 I've owned.

Spectacular! The best 70-200 Ive ever owned.

Posted by James Ironmonger on May 14, 2021

I've owned many zooms in this range, beginning in 1975, including recent F-mount f/4 and f/2.8 versions. The recent ones all work fine on the Z cameras with the FTZ adapter. But, having purchased several other Z-mount lenses, I had to acquire this one, and couldn't be happier. From the first shot I took, it was obvious that the lens was built well, focuses fast and silently, and produces excellent renderings. It's definitely my favorite lens, overall, and is hugely useful. It'll be on the camera or in my bag at ALL times! Thank you, Nikon!
