    Nikon 105 MC Lens for Z8

    Just got this lens for my Z8 camera and I was very surprised how good the lens is. It's well built and will serve me well as a macro and portrait lens. I am still learning all the features the lens has. Overall, I am very happy with the selection made. However, the lens is a little heavy.

    I've upgraded to a Nikon Z 7II and this NIKKOR Z MC 105mm f/2.8 VR S lens (used to use a D80 with the Nikon AF-S DX Micro NIKKOR 85mm f/3.5G ED VR lens). While the older gear was great, this new lens is so sharp it made my jaw drop. That might also be because of the better sensor but I'm certain this glass is better too and I love this lens. The 105mm gives me a little more working room and the f4 perfect for what I do. Could not be happier and highly recommend this lens!

    Great lens. I have been looking for a macro lens and this is great. I need this for portraits as well. This is a fine addition to my small set of Z lenses.

    Fantastic macro work on both my Z6ii and Z6iii. Sharpness is excellent from corner to corner. Using the range limit to assist focus speed really helps. Great addition to my Z-mount lenses.

    Delighted with the 105mm

    I absolutely love the 105m Z lens. I grew up on macro lenses that my dad had collected over the years so I've always enjoyed close-up photography. I read dozens of reviews before pulling the trigger, and am so glad that I did. The image sharpness is as good as advertised and I find the focus leagues beyond the f mount version. Most important, the whole Z camera (in my case a Z8) has reinvigorated my picture taking. Thank you Nikon for getting your mojo back.

    Very sharp lens really happy with it, seems to far exceed my old Sony GM.
