    35 1.8 Great Lens

Posted by Godric on November 19, 2019

I have been shooting with the Z6 for 6 months and recently purchased the 35 1.8. first, you can hold this camera and lens all day, so comfortable and very light. this lens is quick to focus and is perfect for all around photography. I have used it for an entire night of photographing Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Orlando, I thought i would have some troubles due to the very low light to no light but to my happy surprise, it focused quickly, locked on to my targets, the 1.8 helped tremendously and the long night of shooting was very pleasurable. I cannot wait for the 70-200 2.8 and will be going out to pick up the 85 1.8 in a few weeks and i cannot wait until next year to try out the 50 1.2 and i hope to hear about more faster lenses soon. Thank Nikon, I am loving the Camera and cannot wait to see what you release next.

    Compact and impressive

Posted by Drastic on November 18, 2019

Sharp, quick autofocus, and light. Color rendition is wonderful. The minimum focus distance is short enough that with the Z7 and its built-in vibration compensation, I have taken near-macro images hand-held that would have been impossible before.

    Excellent lens

Posted by OkiC on November 18, 2019

The 50 mm f/1.8 S series lens for the Z mount is a fast focusing lens that creates sharp images and really nice bokeh, especially for a 50 mm prime lens. It is light and easy to carry... The S series lenses by Nikon are all great! Can´t wait for the 70-200mm f/2.8 to be released.

Good, but Not Equal to 50/24mm S lenses

Posted by JimLosAltos on November 18, 2019

The 35mm S is a decent lens, but not optically equal to either the 24 mm or the 50mm, which is disappointing. Otherwise, compact, quick focusing, reasonably sharp. I´ll likely wait to see how good the 14-24 f2.8 is and sell the 35mm to get either that or the 24mm.

    Beautiful focal length

Posted by Quickpic on November 18, 2019

This lens gathers light the whole way and makes the pixels count in a big way. And is supered for every subject. If you are new to mirrorless and like to keep it simple look no further. I have a pile of equipment that sometimes shoot with But this lens takes the guesswork out of buying mirrorless lenses for me I rather invest in a good bag the new CF fast cards Or a small flash and I´ll be all set.

    Excellent for video

Posted by phototravelertroy on November 18, 2019

The NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.8 S delivers everything that you would expect from Nikon and their long history of offering the highest quality optical lenses. The NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.8 S is a nice upgrade to it´s F mount equivalent and offeres better edge sharpness, better contract, less lens flaring, and the focusing motor is virtually silent, which makes it really great for video

    Love the lens

    Posted by Deano76 on September 12, 2019

This has become my standard lens for my Z7. It´s lightweight, extremely sharp and the autofocus is lightning quick. I have always liked a 35mm prime and have always owned one and am extremely happy with this version Nikon has produced for the Z cameras.

Great 35mm lens for my Z6.

Posted by pcman on September 11, 2019

    Excellent 35mm lens!

35mm is a little tight for me for many purposes, so I have pre-ordered the 24mm f/1.8 lens. I am adding Z lenses to my assortment as they show up.

    I love this lens.

I use this lens for almost everything. It creates incredibly vibrant and crisp shots. I rented a Sigma Art lens recently for a trip and side-by-side, I just love the images that this lens captures so much more.
