DK-21 Alternative

Instead of the DK-21, try the DK-23. The little flange that connects to the camera is thicker. Give it a try.

It can be lost easy

This eye peace is the worst Nikon part I have ever used. It slips from my camera and I lost. Do not buy this product.

Nikon does not make an eye piece for their D7000
Posted by D7000 on June 10, 2017
I have had THREE Nikon DK-21 eye pieces for my D7000. None of them fit. This is a known problem that Nikon has not bothered to address.
Best thing is to purchase a Hoodman eyecup instead of the Nikon. -

DK-21 Definitely Not Great Quality
Posted by PAparazzi on July 30, 2016
I would have to agree with PhotoMoto... BUT I had my camera just over a year... I am VERY careful with how I use it and all... Recently I noticed the eyecup had fallen off... LUCKILY I seen it in my bag and put it on... Then I noticed it again... This time it had fell on my Bed... THEN TODAY I noticed it was missing and I couldn´t find it for the life of me... I was wondering how it started to fall off in the first place. Maybe I never noticed it Not being as Secure...
I will say PhotoMoto I took the DK-23 off my other camera and it works PERFECTLY it seems to be a Bit secure... Ive tried to push up on it with my fingers and it didnt budge... The only Negative is the rubber isnt as plush as the DK-23... But who cares I just dont want the bare square its not like its up to my eye that long to bother with less rubber anyways
I hope this helped -

DK-21 Falls off Camera
Posted by PhotoMoto on July 26, 2016
When it is in place, the DK-21 eyecup is fine. The problem is that it´s easily dislodged by the slightest touch and falls off the camera. In the 2 months I´ve owned my D750, I´ve lost two of them. Looking at various Nikon user sites, I found this to be a common annoyance. The eyecup needs a redesign or some method for keeping it secured.
