Superb & Reliable: It Just Works :)

Posted by Martina R. on April 30, 2025

I started shooting digital with Nikon 11 years ago, and have since used the D200, D800, D810, and now the D850, of which I have three. Each body is at the ready with a different lens attached, one with a 60mm f/2.8 macro, another with a 24-70 f/2.8, and the third with a 200-500 f/5.6. No matter what combo I head out with, I'm always assured of having some keeper images at the end of the day. So the D850 just works, no matter the setting where its being used or the subjects its focused on :)

    Review

Posted by WILLIAM S. on April 29, 2025

The D850 is an amazing camera. I purchased mine about three years ago and have thoroughly enjoyed using it. The level of control is outstanding. Coming from a D750, I was impressed with the much higher level of detail and surprisingly good low light performance. It is certainly larger and heavier than the D750, but I find it is a very comfortable camera to use on all day shoots. Highly recommended. See also my review of the Z8 for a comparison of the two cameras.

The Nikon D850; an outstanding product.

Posted by Herbie on April 20, 2025

I purchased my D850 along with the Nikkor 28-300mm lens along with Nikon flash and other equipment back on July 1, 2019. Quite frankly the D850 has served all my needs. Like most electronics you can keep upgrading almost forever but the D850 is extremely well. I refer to myself as an amateur as I don't charge anything for the non-profits I volunteer my efforts. The camera and I must be doing something by way of the compliments I receive and as I called back repeatedly for my work. Nikon may be unhappy with my review as I have no need to upgrade my equipment. The D850 is an outstanding product.Best wishes to everyone for good health.Herb

    The DSLR ever made. Period.

Posted by Anonymous Shopper on April 6, 2025

What a fantastic camera even in 2025. Unfortunately Nikon has stopped making DSLR bodies in favor of EVF cameras, so this was perhaps my last chance to purchase a pro body with a true realtime viewfinder. The sensor performance still is at the top of the market and the ergonomics are first rate. And it has that lovely, lovely optical viewfinder. In short, buy one while you still can. I'm probably going to get a second body, while I still can.

    Historial

Posted by James Lee on April 6, 2025

It is a historical DSLR camera! I transitioned to Z8 & Z9 from D850 2 years ago but kept missing D850, could not get mind off. So, I bought again. Just a fantastic tool period!

    What an upgrade

Posted by ROY C. on March 25, 2025

What an amazing camera! I've been using Nikon cameras and lenses since 1968 when I bought a Nikon FTN while I was in the military overseas. This is my 11th Nikon SLR/DSLR (along with numerous Coolpix cameras) and each iteration gets better. The D850 was a giant step up from my D810; there's going to be a learning curve. Thank you Nikon!
