I Would Buy it Again
I have two and I still love this camera. It doesn't compete with the newer video technology, but it's a great still camera for many genres.

Extremely happy with the D850! Upgraded from the D7000 and am very impressed and pleased! A lot to explore and learn!

I am walking maybe 6” off the ground as I have finally been able to get my hands on this camera! I really like having the pentaprism and also the feel of the shutter operating. The camera feels solid! So far everything I have tried in the way of autofocus and exposure has been super easy once I learned the menus and buttons. Of course everything I have shot so far has exceeded my expectations!

This is a great camera body. Customization for shooting is very convenient. I am amazed at the image quality and the ability to shoot in DX mode to reduce file size, increase effective focal length, and still have 22.5 megapixels available.

The D850 is an amazingly capable camera. I had been using the D750 previously. I am simply blown away by the images produced by this camera and extremely happy I bought it. Sharing some sample images straight from the camera without any post-processing other than cropping to reduce size since this site accepts pictures up to 10 MB. The pictures with leaves were taken using a 24-120mm f/4G lens and the picture with persimmons were taken using a 50mm f/1.8G lens.

Have been a Nikon user for over fifty years. Started with a Nikkormat and gradually moved up from there. Have one D850 which is out for repair. (Nikon repair is very slow.) So I bought another one while waiting. Bought it refurbished from Nikon and if it weren't for the plain white box, I would swear it is brand new. Very happy with it and still waiting for my original D850 to come home. (******) That's Six Stars.

I have been shooting with the D850 for over two years now both in the studio and the field. I find it very solid and easy to use. Transitioning from my D7200 was no issue. I am thinking of adding a second one body to the camera bag.

I’ve been out of the photo workd for quite a while. My last Nikon was an F2. That was a stupendous piece of equipment. Alas, I am now 72 and I have thousands of underwater slides, macros, and negatives both color and b&w all 35 mm film. Of all the cool stuff this camera does my favorite use is to convert color and b&w film to jpg and bluetooth it to my phone where I can share those memories with others, also I can put paper pictures on a copy stand and the come out great! The D850 is an extension of my old professional work, and I absolutely love it!

In a world of mirrorless cameras I just purchased this camera and I love it. I chose it for a few of reasons. I needed a camera for wildlife and landscapes. I wanted the higher megapixels. I needed a camera for wildlife and landscapes that I could crop in if needed but also gave the ability to do larger prints for landscapes. This camera fits both. Also, I have a complete line up of lenses. I have the trinity plus every prime and the 17-35 and 200-500. These lenses works beautifully on the D850. The camera is fast enough for my needs. This camera was the perfect upgrade for me and anyone who has a complete line of DSLR lens but is ready for the next body.
