    My D850

Posted by NONPRO on July 25, 2018

This was my Christmas present to myself. I like my camera but because of how sensitive it is I have had to relearn how to take a photo I used to steady my camera by bracing it to my body. I invested in professional light weight tripod and a monopod. I love my D850 full frame is the way to go.

Wow! Amazing in so many ways!

Posted by MikeF on July 4, 2018

I have been using Nikons since 1971, when I purchase an FTn and 50mm f/1.4 lens. I still use the 50mm with the D850 I have had for close to a month. I have had a D800 since 2013, and a D500 for a little over 1 year, and the D850 surpasses my highest expectations, despite my reading many reviews and evaluations of the D850. I wish I had a second D850 Body! I have used both the D500 and the D800 as backup bodies, with great results, but knowing what the D850 is capable of I know the Upgrade of images/video quality could be substantial with a second D850.

I have being shooting with Nikon since 2015, stared with the D550 then the D750 and now D850. For me the different is noticeable, very well performance in low light, the ISO, the metering, every thing, I´m very very Happy

    Only the best

Posted by JRLopez on June 29, 2018

The details, features, and amount of information that each raw photo captures really does blow me away. The more you put into this camera the better results you´re going to achieve. The Nikon 35mm 1.4 has warmth that is a noticeable difference from its 1.8 counter part. The battery pack grip with 9 frames per second definitely comes in great handy. The way it fits in you´re hand gives the user incredible stability and fullness. With its wide ability to bracket in several directions... stops above and below really allows me to expand my dynamic range of an image fast. I´m still having trouble achieving edge to edge clarity with focus shifting that seems to be a more of a trial and error setting but once you get it down I´m sure it´s a phenomenal feature.

    Excellence personafied

I have used my D 850 since purchased and it has performed brilliantly, I on the other hand am still trying to catch up with the camera, I use it almost exclusively with my 24 - 70 mm f 2.8 zoom lens and on at least one occasion with my 28 - 300 mm f 3.5 - 5.6 zoom lens both of which have performed brilliantly with the D 850. After my D 810 I wasn´t aware I would need another tutorial on how to get the most out of it! I have taken well over 3,500 photos in 4 different scenarios with excellent results even when I had used Flat in set picture control which I can say I won´t be using that setting anytime soon!
I have used it to take photos of my grandkids with excellent results, wild animals and birds out my back patio again with excellent results, street photography with excellent results and boats at a marina along with all kinds of birds even the one that dove into the water to steal my grandsons bait off the hook again all photos were very good including my hand shaking the camera to pan in on the action!! I only have the D 850 a little more than a month and it already has my admiration, I can hardly wait to get to use it on the wildlife on Long Island Parks and latter this summer on my trips to Cape Cod and Niagara Falls, a wedding I will be a guest at in July as well as several children´s birthday parties and a Christening, my hope is that Nikon will allow me to update this review or write another with the updates!
I really feel that Nikon has an excellent award winning camera in the D 850 and will blow away all competitors!!
Nikon´s software will not allow me to post the photos as they claim they´re too large, but they can be viewed at my flickr site I hope!

    Best camera ever!

    Posted by D850 on June 26, 2018

I have owned Nikon Cameras for almost 45 years and this is the best I´ve ever owned. I bought the camera because the reviews said that it was terrific for low light photography. I shoot plays, sometimes in almost total darkness and with the spotlights on faces, I need the wide dynamic range that the D850 provides. The noise is minimal so the post production time is reduced so I can get quality images to the play management quickly. I think the camera is unequaled for wildlife. With the high megapixel count coupled with a Nikon tele-zoom the resulting images are superb. This may be the last camera I will ever own.

Amazing micro details.. from mile away!

Posted by UDAYK on June 24, 2018

It´s an amazing tool with ability to record details of far away subjects too! Perfect tool for someone looking for Panoramic, gigapan or landscape, photography. The way 850 allows you to change settings without moving you eye from viewfinder is commandable. (but that´s the strong design aspect for Nikon for years and evolving further.) Just shot a few panoramas in France, the biggest being of 79 images, 11 GB, handheld, and looking through viewfinder from nearly a feet away! Believe it or not, it´s comfortable!
